Et pour être précis, ce n'est pas vraiment un NAS que nous avons testé, mais un logiciel qui permet de transformer n'importe quel PC en NAS sécurisé. Nous avons d'ailleurs craqué sur le concept et sur son prix... puisqu'il est gratuit en version Basic ! Lassés d'attendre un échantillon de Drobo FS dont le concept Beyond Raid nous avait vraiment séduits, nous sommes partis en quête d'une solution équivalente chez d'autres constructeurs. Au détour d'une recherche sur le web, nous sommes tombés sur le logiciel unRAID, développé par Lime Technology, qui semble offrir des caractéristiques similaires au Beyond Raid.

Après tout, le SG07 est un excellent boitier, avec de la place pour de gros radiateurs, mais comme les cartes mères actuelles bloquent au niveau du PCI-E, on se retrouve très vite avec des radiateurs très classiques. Dans ce cas, on ne râle pas d'avoir l'alimentation au dessus. Mais, et c'est vraiment dommage, l'absence de ports USB en façade, ou sur le côté, est vraiment regrettable. Autant la perte des 5.25" ne nous chagrinent absolument pas, bien au contraire, alors même que l'absence d'une connectique valable nous dérange. A part ça, c'est du tout bon.
