Lemon Creme Crumb Bars. Share on Pinterest Imagine a thick crumb bar with two layers similar to the struesel on top of a muffin, then picture sandwiching those layers together with a lemon creme filling that is similar to a lemon bar.
Doesn’t that sound amazing? Well it is, and here you have it. To give you an idea of how delicious these really are, I made these yesterday and we finished most of them off. My husband gets home from work today carrying a gallon of milk, so I ask him, “what’s the milk for? He replies, “I’ve been dreaming about those lemon bars all day and wanted to make sure we had some milk to go with them. I thought it was funny because we always have some kind of sweet at our house because of how much I bake, and we always have milk – I rarely run out.
Snickers Brownies. Share on Pinterest Snickers plus brownies all in one – oh yes!
Snickers are one of my favorite candy bars so when I saw this version of brownies over at BHG I knew they’d taste just like a Snickers. These over the top brownies are worth the extra time and effort. You may look at the ingredients list and directions and think, no way that’s too much, but don’t. Raspberry Crumb Bars. Share on Pinterest Is it summer yet?
Okay, well since we can’t force that one, at least we can constantly bake with the flavors of summer. Lemon Bars. Share on Pinterest It is about time I’ve posted a lemon bar recipe, wouldn’t you say?
Everyone needs a really good lemon bar recipe in their recipe collection, and this one should definitely make the cut. These bars are deliciously tart with just the right amount of sweet to compliment the sour. Their bold, fresh lemon flavor is paired with a more mellow hint of orange to tone things down without distracting from the star of the show. Both whole eggs and egg yolks are added to not only give structure but to offer a creamy and smooth texture. These bars are anything but bland, so if you are looking for a fresh, exciting dessert recipe, don’t pass this one by.
Sky High Bounty Bar Squares. My favourite chocolate bar as a kid was Aero, hands down.
No nuts, no wafer, no caramel - nothing but chocolate. Pure chocolate with something special - texture. The bubbles! Oh the bubbles... It dissolves on the tongue so silkily. I also liked Caramilk and enjoyed a Kit Kat, but the second best for me was Bounty. It was a texture thing too - soft, slightly sticky coconut filling and smooth chocolate coating. I didn't care for Oh Henry or Snickers. These squares are just like that bar - moist, chewy, slightly gooey filling with a smooth chocolate coating. I've added a slightly crunchy and buttery brown sugar base.
The filling gets its stickiness from creamy, gooey, gorgeous sweetened condensed milk. Because of all the sweetness from the milk, make sure you use unsweetened coconut. Another note - make sure you use shredded, not desiccated coconut. Eggs help to hold this thick layer together, but also adds protein. Lemon Bars. S'mores Fudge Bars. S’mores Fudge Bars have a thick layer of buttery graham cracker crust, fudgy chocolate filling, and a homemade toasted marshmallow topping.
Incredible! Have you ever painted interior textured walls before? It sucks, big time. Simply taping off the walls isn’t enough to ensure the paint won’t seep through all those little crevices created by the textured surface. We didn’t realize that the first time we tried to paint an accent wall in our master bedroom, of course. Making and torching homemade marshmallow is fun, as you can see by my Instagram picture.
