Video games[edit] Belville (Lego) Belville is a product range of the Lego construction toy designed to appeal primarily to girls.
First introduced in 1994,[1] the theme included multi-jointed doll-like characters, much larger in scale than the traditional Lego minifig. The sets include larger pieces, often in a pink and purple colour scheme, and depict scenes from fairy tales and fantasy as well as everyday life. Its direct successor is LEGO Friends introduced in 2012, and its direct target is kids (mainly girls). Other Lego product ranges designed for girls have included Homemaker (1971-1982), Paradisa (1991–1997), Scala (1997–2001) and Friends (2012-present). Belville bricks tend to have colors not typically found in traditional sets (e.g., pink, purple). Belville figures are larger than the minifigure, but their feet can still attach to traditional Lego pieces. The Lego Group also sells other items under the Belville trademark such as ice cube trays with unique shapes, and purses. Lego Duplo. Duplo (trademarked as DUPLO) is a product range of the construction toy Lego, designed for children aged 1½ to 5 years old.
Duplo bricks are twice the length, height and width of traditional Lego bricks, making them easier to handle and less likely to be swallowed by younger children. Despite their size, they are still compatible with traditional Lego bricks. Initially launched in 1969, the Duplo range has gone on to include sets with figures, cars, houses and trains.
Duplo is manufactured in Nyíregyháza, Hungary.[1] History[edit] Duplo bricks alongside a smaller red regular-sized Lego brick. A boy playing with Duplo bricks. The Lego Mindstorms series of kits contain software and hardware to create customizable, programmable robots.
They include an intelligent brick computer that controls the system, a set of modular sensors and motors, and LEGO parts from the Technics line to create the mechanical systems. The original Mindstorms Robotics Invention System kit contained two motors, two touch sensors, and one light sensor. The NXT version has three servo motors and one light, sound, and distance as well as 1 touch sensor. The NXT 2.0 has 2 touch sensors as well as a light and distance sensor, and support for 4 without using a sensor multiplexer. LEGO Mindstorms may be used to build a model of an embedded system with computer-controlled electromechanical parts.
