How To Increase Retail Sales Per Square Foot - 5inShareinShare It’s one of the most asked questions I hear, “How can I increase my retail sales?”
You can call it increasing conversion rates, increasing the number of items per transaction, or hitting higher goals; all of these markers add up to higher retail sales per square foot. Marketing can’t do that. Adding another product line can’t do that. The Global Small Business Blog: Facebook For Business Goes Global. Does Digital Saving Threaten Real Memory? I once saw a man walking around the inside the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, taking it all in only through the very narrow view of his amateur movie camera viewfinder.
The irony swept over me: he was not seeing it while he was there. Instead, he was recording it to see later. And I wondered: Would he really go back, later, and watches those vast hours of unedited videos? Hadn’t he exchanged his time in the cathedral for video footage nobody would ever watch? Then last week I read the following: Recent tests have found that people who think a computer will save their information recall much less of it than those led to believe the machine will delete it. Followed by: Fairfield University psychologist Linda Henkel believes something similar may be happening with digital photography. The Cloud's Impact on Business Models. I had an interesting time this week at Solutions 13, which is the Sleeter Group's annual accounting solutions conference.
Over 800 people attended the event which focused on improving business processes through the use of mobile, cloud and connected services and technologies. My biggest take away from the event was the impact cloud technologies are having on accounting firm business models. In an age where sponsored content has replaced traditional advertising, marketers must ask: should they pay influencers for their promotion efforts?
Some maintain that paying influencers destroys the credibility of an influencer’s brand support, but Danny Brown contends it’s no different from any other marketing media. Influencers deserve to get paid for their efforts, he says. In Why Influencers Deserve to — and Should — be Paid by Brands, Brown urges marketers to consider the time influencers put into researching, formatting, finding images and sources for, and proofreading a blog post. And that’s just the creation part — bloggers then have to continue to promote it by responding to comments and sharing it via social media. Brown explains that paying influencers offers less risk, more return and better campaigns. Key message: the brands that access the trust and credibility that an influencer has amassed should pay for that privilege. Email vs. Social Media: Which One Drives More Purchases? [Study]
