Baby Life Quilt. Hey there, Vanessa from V and Co. here. i've had this quilt bouncing around in my head for quite some time. so when i saw the "make life" line by sweetwater, i instantly knew that this quilt needed to be made out of this line. it seems like everywhere i turn someone is announcing that they are pregnant or that they just found out what they are having. with just one layer cake i was able to make two completely different color scheme quilts, and i still have some left that i'm working with (another tutorial in the works with the leftovers!)

I'm Val from PinkPlease! , cooking up my very first Moda Bake Shop recipe. When I was making this play mat, I felt like half of the Jelly Roll was being cut off and thrown into my scrap bin. I thought there has got to be a way to reuse these scraps ... and Voila! ... the changing pad was born! I am completely in love with all things MoMo, and when I saw her new fabric line, “Just Wing It,” I knew these quilts would be a perfect fit!

Enjoy! 1 Jelly Roll in MODA Lollipop by Sandy Gervais 1/2 yard cream fabric (7521 441 from Lollipop) 1 1/4 yard fabric for backing & binding (17555 13 from Lollipop) Batting measuring ~15" x 85" 5" strip of ribbon Spray basting spray (recommended) I came up with this idea earlier this year after watching the season finale of Desperate Housewives where Mike used a crowbar to remove the panel off the front door jamb that was used as a growth chart for Julie because they had to move out of the house.
Note: You can make this growth chart any length you want. 1. 2. Thanks! 1 Pure Jelly Roll 3/4 yard of binding fabric, I used 5436 16 1 yard Moda Bella Solids in White Crib sized batting Step One Cut: 2 strips from your binding fabric of 1.5 x 42.5 inches 1 strip 7.5 x 42.5 white 1 strip 15.5 x 42.5 white Cut the remaining white in half horizontally. Select 24 jelly roll strips for the top of your quilt. Reserve remaining 16 strips, whole, for the backing of the quilt. Step 2 Group your 24 half jelly roll strips into four sets of six. Step Three.
