Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier would be happy see people doing such experiments, he could not do it 200 years ago. Conversion from rms in the fundamental amplitude, A = 224mV * 1.4142 = 317mV Fourier series of an ideal (no DC-component) square wave: y(t) = 4*317/Pi * [sin(wt) + 0.333*sin(3wt) + 0.200*sin(5wt) + 0.142*sin(7wt) + 0.111*sin(9wt) .....] Used Tektronix Electronic Test Equipment, Parts and Service Information. XY Mode on Tektronix 7000 Scope - Page 1. I was trying to figure out how to use XY mode on a Tek 7000 series scope and received this very helpful info from David Hess.
There are three ways implement X-Y mode on a 7000 series and the 7B92/7B92A will not do any of them: 1. Use two vertical amplifiers with one in a vertical slot and one in a horizontal slot. 2. Use one of the several timebases which support X-Y mode; these include the 7B50, 7B70, 7B80 with option 2, 7B50A with option 2, all variations of the 7B53A. 3. Note that the 7B53A X-Y mode is pretty complicated. I went for #1 and moved one of two 7A26 plug-ins from the normal vertical slot to one of the horizontal slots. Thanks David! 575 - TekWiki. The Tektronix 575 is a curve tracer for transistors, introduced in March 1957.
It can be thought of as being composed of three modules: an X-Y display, a step source, and a collector sweep source. Tek 575 use. TEKTRONIX 545A Oscilloscope. A dual trace oscilloscope utilising plug-in units for the 'Y' amplifiers.
Apparently there are 102 valves in this thing ! Hell, there are 14 of 'em in just the power supply ! Yet its still lighter than the Cossor. 545 - TekWiki. The Tektronix Type 545 is a 30 MHz* scope that takes letter-series and 1-series plug-ins.
It has two timebases, which allows delayed triggering. Type 545 was introduced February 7th, 1955 along with the Type 541, and superseded in 1959 by the Type 545A, which was in turn superseded in 1964 by the Type 545B, which was produced until 1973. The difference between the 545A and 545 is the control ergonomics, not any major circuit design changes. The 545A uses the T5430 CRT. P2 phosphor was standard. Versions. Tektronix Test Equipment.
The collection shows a small overview of the variety built over decades, the were common used in many laboratories and contributed the history of electronics importantly. Tekscope 1972 V4 N5 Sep 1972. 7D15 - TekWiki. The Tektronix 7D15 is a 225 MHz frequency counter plug-in for 7000-series scopes.
It is optimized for timing measurements, having a 100 MHz oscillator and interval measurement averaging capability. It has two inputs and can measure frequency, period or time difference. The 7D15 was introduced in November 1972. The front panel uses SMB connectors for arming, clock in/out and reset signals. 7B87 - TekWiki. 7854 - TekWiki. The Tektronix 7854 Waveform Processing Oscilloscope, introduced in 1980, is a 400 MHz combined analog / digital mainframe in the 7000 series that takes two vertical and two horizontal 7000-series plug-ins.
In addition to a conventional analog (real time) scope, it contains an equivalent-time sampling 10-bit digitizer and a programmable waveform processor with GPIB interface. The waveform processor can be programmed using a detachable calculator-style keyboard, using postfix operators ("reverse Polish notation" like HP calculators) that operate on entire waveforms, not just individual numbers. 7A26 - TekWiki. 7A22 - TekWiki. The Textronix 7A22 is a single channel differential vertical amplifier for the 7000 series mainframes, produced from about 1969 to 2000.
Specifications and controls are similar to the 26A2 and the 3A9 from the 560 series but without current probe input or front panel signal output. Remarkably, the 7A22's input sensitivity reaches down to 10 μV/Div. Bandwidth is 1 MHz, the upper 3 dB limit can be reduced in ×3 steps down to 100 Hz (to eliminate noise, inter alia), and the lower bandwidth can be raised in ×10 steps from 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz. A separate control optionally supplies an internal DC voltage to offset the DC signal component. Tektronix Used Electronic Test Equipment. The Museum of Tektronix Scopes. Welcome to the Museum of old Tektronix Scopes. These pages give information on and images of old Tektronix scopes up to about 1970.
They were originally created by Arnoud Vanderwel, who no longer had the time to mantain them, so I have taken them over.
