I think the self-sacrificing pretty much rules out him turning evil in the future. The reason he was being so cryptic with Alisha was because HE DIES, which still doesn't seem necessary to me to further this superhero plotline. Why, Future Simon, why? This is such a sad, mixed-up relationship, where at different points in their twisty timeline, one or both is aware that the other will die. From 2x03-2x04, Future Simon is involved in this relationship knowing that both he and Alisha will die (unless he can somehow prevent hers from beyond the grave);from this point forward, Alisha is involved in a relationship with Present Simon knowing that he's going to die;one day she's going to have to tell Present Simon he's going to die so that he can go into the past with that knowledge (also if my theory about Future Simon leaving his past self a message is correct, he'll know that Alisha is going to die [unless he can stop it]).
