Italy-based artist Cristina Guggeri, however, hasn’t forgotten, and she’s out to remind the rest of us with a series of images called Il Dovere Quotidiano, or “The Daily Duty,” that humanize some of the world’s most famous leaders by imagining what they might look like when they answer nature’s call. Germany. Berlin. Expressionism. Baselitz sculpteur - MAM. Le Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris organise une exposition consacrée aux sculptures de Georg Baselitz (né en 1938).
Cette manifestation proposera une lecture rétrospective d’un des aspects de l’œuvre de cet artiste allemand, d’abord peintre et graveur, en présentant, la quasi-totalité d’une production peu montrée en France qui s’étend sur plus de trente ans. Désormais autonome par rapport à la peinture, la sculpture de Baselitz, qui occupe une place privilégiée au sein de son œuvre, a gagné en monumentalité. Une quarantaine de sculptures en bois peint exécutées entre 1979 et 2010 montreront le cheminement d’un artiste qui a contribué au renouvellement du langage de la sculpture d’aujourd’hui. En contrepoint des sculptures, plusieurs peintures et œuvres sur papier de Baselitz éclaireront l’extrême cohérence d’une œuvre, quel que soit le médium dans son traitement de la figure, des sources et le défi aux règles habituelles de la perception.

Dezember 1891 in Untermhaus, heute Stadtteil von Gera; † 25. Juli 1969 in Singen am Hohentwiel) war ein bedeutender deutscher Maler und Grafiker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Otto Dix’ Werk ist von stilistischer Vielfalt geprägt, bleibt jedoch in seiner künstlerischen Grundhaltung dem Realismus verpflichtet. Am bekanntesten sind diejenigen seiner Gemälde, welche der Neuen Sachlichkeit (Verismus) zugerechnet werden. Dix gilt als exzellenter Zeichner und hinterließ mehr als 6.000 Zeichnungen und Skizzen. Otto Dix wurde in der Gemeinde Untermhaus als Sohn von Ernst Franz Dix (1862–1942) und dessen Frau Pauline Louise Amann (1864–1953) geboren.
Nachdem ihn während seiner Schulzeit der Zeichenlehrer Ernst Schunke sehr gefördert hatte, absolvierte Dix von 1905 bis 1909 eine Lehre bei dem Geraer Dekorationsmaler Carl Senff. April - 13. Juli 2014Eine Ausstellung der Galerie Neue Meister der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden im Albertinum 2014 jährt sich der Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges zum 100. Mal. Kein anderer Künstler des 20. Das monumentale Triptychon "Der Krieg" (1929–1932) in der Galerie Neue Meister zählt zu den Schlüsselwerken deutscher realistischer Malerei im 20. In Vorbereitung auf die Ausstellung wurde das Gemälde in den hauseigenen Restaurierungswerkstätten umfassend untersucht.
Vorstudien, Entwürfe und die Ergebnisse der maltechnischen Untersuchung verdeutlichen den erstaunlichen Entwicklungs- und Malprozess, den das Werk von den ersten Skizzen bis zu seiner Vollendung durchlief.
