This V7 Sport is the genuine article. Low serial number 323XX matching frame and engine. Low 36,000 miles. I am the 3rd owner and purchased the bike in Jan 2008. The bike was built in Italy in Dec 1972 and is a series 2 with "4" stamped on the transmission. The bike is in great condition and the only non original parts are: Dyna II electronic ignition, upgraded starter motor, seat cover and cable replacements. If you know your Italian bikes, and Moto Guzzi's, then you are aware this is one of the holy grail's. The pictures should give a good indication of the condition of the bike. 1972 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport 14,780mi – Moto Borgotaro.

This is a very special V7 sport, it has been owned by the previous owner since 1973. Very original from front to back. Comes with original exhaust and tires! I’m chopping and changing a bit but I’ve now rebuilt the front forks. The fork springs on these old Guzzis are very soft so I’ve invested in some progressive rate springs to see if this improves things. They should still be compliant but less likely to bottom out than the originals. Guzzis use cartridge dampers in the front forks. Here are the parts that make up the arrangement. Shown is the damper (with the rod retracted), damper extension rod, spring seat, a locating cup and a circlip. You can then get the spring seat and locating cap on with enough room to fit the circlip without having to fight the spring pressure. When you pull out the screwdriver and release the spring all the force will be on that circlip.
That’s the insides done. I changed the fork oil seals which are in the lower fork legs. The replacement seal must be driven in square. SILENT HEKTIK Automotive Hard- & Software - Home. ForumGUZZI.fr. I prefer the first pic of that beautiful blue Lemans, but it drives home the similarities between motorcycles and men as we get older: We don't get prettier.
Maybe true but we get better with age, being pretty sometimes gets the wrong sort of attention, being appreciated for our ability is more satisfying for both of us. Here's mine - sorry for the rubbish photo: The story. I've owned it about 7 years, it was given to me by a good friend who bought it off the builder Nic Smullain, a friend of his. It was a bit of a mess when I was given it as it had been left outside for quite a few years. Thanks! Nik lives out here now, told me he was thinking of buying this bike back, be good to ride it back to back with mine, has he spoken to you ?.
He's currently in Namibia working on latest Mad Max film (Aus got too dear for producers) he's found another Guzzi there, threatening to ride it to Kenya later this year, ship it here from Mombassa.
