Specifically the Siq and the tomb carvings. I looked into the effects of man on the natural landscape, particularly over time and the relationship man forms with his environment. What was of interest to me was the power relationship between the two : WJT. Mitchels ‘Landscape and Power’ informed much of this. Amman currently has a development strategy for the downtown area. The other areas of interest in this plan are the pedestrian spine coming from the west into downtown Amman, through the city and main public areas towards our site. In terms of public realm, Amman has succeeded in the transformation of spaces into far more pedestrian friendly environments. There is a vibrant night life and spaces such as these are occupied, where people gather and play music. There are other developments which are occuring in the greater amman. Our site is effectively a facade to the city.

Mexico City-born Jorge Ayala, London/Paris-based architect approached his proposal on a new urban agglomeration using synthetic fabric as the material basis for his research process. Le projet se réfère à des techniques cherchant l’intégration des components urbains qui varient infrastructure, espace public et services publiques. Comprendre puis dessiner l’espace comme une surface qui acquière de l’épaisseur et de la complexité spatiale au fur et à mesure que les différents programmes du sol se combinent, créant un mélange dans la programmation plutôt que des fonctions isolées. Nous avons évité d’utiliser des typologies familières prenant certaines choses pour acquises comme des maisons, chambres, fenêtres, toitures, etc. Bien au contraire, Sensational Urbanism constitue les fonctions de territorialisation, emboitant et interfaçant par des nouvelles évocations de limites, domaines, surfaces et volumes.
Le site (Porte de la Chapelle) a été confronté à une composition abstraite qui donne sens à une nouvelle typologie. Au lieu de points, lignes et plans, nous avons travaillé avec splines, champs de force et taux de pollution sonore. Sensational Urbanism cherche à concevoir des stratégies de paysage provocatrices, en combinant les voies ferroviaires adjacentes à la Porte de la Chapelle et le réseau routier si présent sur le site avec les préoccupations environnementales évoquant un nouvel espace urbain très sophistiqué. Paysageurbanisme. Articulated Landscapes. Articulated Landscapes vise en une série de structures de connections, d'usages et performances divers, tels que promenades et sentiers pédestres flottants, reliant les deux rives du fleuve en un maillage adapté. Ce maillage engage diverses couches entre elles et génère préservation et sensibilisation aux cycles naturels locaux tels les variations de marées ou des scénarios d'inondations. Une série de typologies architecturales répartie sur le master plan génère plusieurs réseaux à différents niveaux: étangs, jardins flottants, espace public, et tissu urbain.
Londres accueillera les Jeux Olympiques en 2012 – une ville de 12 millions de personnes avec d'importantes questions de transport et des trajets de longues distances croissants.
