The Works Database will be going offline temporarily and will be back soon.
We're doing this in order to make some important changes to the database, including: • The current name field will be split into different fields (e.g., first name, last name, and death date); • Search results will come up as "cards" (like the Works do now). These cards will include the composer's name, death year (if applicable), pronouns (if available), a personal statement (or a subpage containing this information...if available), composer location, and a URL link to the composer's site or information about this particular composer; • Users will be able to search for composers by name, without diacritic restriction (i.e., if a user does not include the appropriate accent mark in a name, the intended composer will still come up in the search results).
For now, users won't be able to search for specific LGBTQ designations, but that capability will be available in the future.
