His portfolio spans a wide range including Bloomingdale’s, Sprint, Visa, Penn State University, Paramount Pictures and Coca Cola. Over the years he has found various techniques in how to manipulate and bend paper to make these magnificent masterpieces. It is the Chinese of course who invented paper, and it is one of the most used mediums in their crafts.

There are whole stores in China devoted to solely to paper goods for Ancestoral worship. The Japanese have also created amazing works in paper for centuries, but the significance and breadth of Paper Craft seems to have only relatively recently become known to a wider “western” culture, and it is becoming increasingly validated as a “serious” Art or Craft Form. One of the most skilful “Western” artists I have come across using paper as a sculptural medium is Richard Sweeney in England. These objects are often elaborately ornamented and take on a wide variety of forms including mobiles, wall relief, and sculptural furniture. At times they are combined in human-scale environments to create complex visual and spatial relationships, and to suggest a sort of homemade 3D cosmography. In these works, it is my intention that viewers will enter the composition and experience what Angela Ndalianis describes as ‘co-extensive space ‘ a space that illusionistically connects with and infinitely extends from our own. Firstly, she constructs the figures using wire bases and then covers them with acid-free paper with folded paper inserts, so that they are a little see-through. The results are both beautiful and unique. Polly’s characters are often linked to mythological creatures such as the wire sculpture of harpy, griffin, winged horse or an Egyptian Ba. Ian Wright. Ian Wright's Colourful Life. Illustrator and artist Ian Wright has unveiled a series of new commissioned works from his role as artistic ambassador for Keaykolour paper, all of which can be seen at Tent London The artworks all take music as their starting point - a constant source of inspiration in Wright's life, and all have been created using Keaykolour paper.

Wright had the names of various radio stations foil blocked onto different colour papers and cut and folded the paper to build up a multi-layered, brightly coloured boombox. "This was my interest in pirate radio - which is probably where all my musical knowledge comes from," says Wright. "So I wanted to reference that in some way. " The three new works form the basis of Colourful Life, a campaign from design studio Blast to relaunch the brand and its 29 paper colours.

"We've worked with ArjoWiggins for quite a few years," explains Blast's Colin Gifford, "and they asked us to work on the rebrand of Keaykolour. Video #1: JVC Boombox. Keaykolour's 'colourful life' campaign with Ian Wright.
