Martin klimas: a irresistível atração que a extrema violência exerce. 10 Surreal Photos That Will Give You Nightmares. Photographer Edward Burtynsky Captures The Horror And Beauty In Our Relationship With Water. The work of Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky is beautifully terrifying.
His large-scale aerial photos can be so abstract that the patterns and colors of his chosen landscapes and topographies evoke lovely textile designs. Closer examination of the hues and shapes, however, reveals the mind-bending ways humankind has irreparably altered the natural world. Burtynsky's work draws you in with its beauty and magnitude before its content gives you pause. Having trained his critical eye on the way that industry has transformed nature in projects such as Manufactured Landscapes (2006) and Oil (2009), Burtynsky has now turned to the most vital stuff on Earth as his latest subject: water. 55 impresionantes fotografías ganadoras del 2013 World Press Photo.
The Winners Of Red Bull's Action Sports Photography Contest Have Truly Gone To Extremes. Because it's not much use staring death in the face with daring feats of sport if nobody is going to see you do it, most extreme athletes bring along a photographer to capture the act.
Of course, similar to the sportsmen themselves, not all sports photographers are created equal. Red Bull's Illume Image Quest is an international photography competition centered on the kind of extreme sports associated with the energy drink through its various efforts. This year marks the third edition of the competition after previous iterations in 2007 and 2010. An international panel of judges and photo editors looked through some 28,000 entries by 6,417 photographers from 124 countries of entries, whittling them down to 50 winning images across 10 categories. The categories included Close Up, Playground, Wings, and Experimental (which allowed digital manipulation). Fotos históricas colorizadas. Home. Alison Brady: fotografia e surrealismo. Two musicians go all-out with their craft, and somewhere in the midst of this inherent competition, a whole new sound is born that’s larger than either player could produce himself. Plan all you want, but most absolutely perfect moments tend to require a bit of serendipity, rather than choreography. Take, for instance, the example of photographer Marcin Ryczek, who recently happened to be in exactly the right place at exactly the right time to capture one of the more visually arresting shots in recent memory.
In the photo, a man in dark clothes stands atop a snowy bank in Krakow, Poland, feeding ducks and swans as they float in the water (which is as dark as the snow is bright). Fire-Raining Photography - ‘Spinning Wool’ by Steven Shubert is a Shower of Red Sparks. Light graffiti and long exposure photography has spurred a movement that continues to inspire photo series like ‘Spinning Wool’ by Steven Shubert. Although not the first of its kind, this ongoing photo project is especially captivating.
Aptly titled, spinning wool is traditionally used to create wool out of sheep fur. Photographers have turned this tradition into a stunning spectacle by lighting spinning wool on fire and twirling it around to rain down red hot sparks before the camera. To set this series apart from others, Spinning Wool by Steven Shubert is captured in abandoned industrial spaces. Cimetière. I can’t begin to imagine the patience of Dimitriy Reinshtein, an Israeli photographer who brings living insects into his studio, places a single drop of water onto their tiny heads, and photographs them with a razor-sharp macro lens. But that’s exactly what he does, somehow, to create larger-than-life images that capture the most fleeting of moments, occurring on the tiniest of subjects. “For a long time, I shot fashion and jewelry, and one day, I imagined an insect that looks human (with hats, clothes and all that stuff),” Reinshtein tells Co.Design.
“I thought, ‘How can I give insects a new look?’ So the drop on their head--it’s a kind of hat.” Indeed, and it’s a hat that’s always changing. “No, it was not easy, but if you look forward and work with passion, the difficulty is not a problem,” Reinshtein writes.
