Phonetic Translations. About Phonetic Translations, also known as “Misheard Lyrics,” are song lyrics that have been transcribed in mondegreen, or misinterpreted translations from other languages.
Various music videos featuring animations and slideshows of the transcribed songs have been widely shared online since the early 2000s. Origin The earliest known flash animation featuring phonetically translated lyrics was titled “Hatten är din” and posted online on January 18th, 2001 (shown below). The animation included the Arabic song “Habeetik” by the Lebanese musician Azar Habib accompanied by phonetically translated lyrics in Swedish. Spread In February of 2001, animutation creator Neil Cicierega uploaded a flash video titled “Hyakugojyuuichi!”

About Alpha Kenny Body is a deliberate mondegreen or homophonic transformation of the phrase “I’ll fuck anybody”.
The phrase was initially embraced by the North American Filipino YouTube community as a popular prank to play on parents, played out by writing the phrase on a piece of paper and asking parents to recite it. Origin Alpha Kenny Body and other deliberate mondegreen’s such as “I am sofa king we Todd Ed” (I am so fucking retarded) have existed for years. The UrbanDictionary entry for Alpha Kenny Body was first posted in November of 2007. One of the initial and most viewed prank videos was uploaded January 8, 2010 by video blogger Frida Rose who successfully pranked her mom into saying the phrase.
Ken Lee. About Ken Lee (“Can’t Live”) is a phonetic interpretation of Mariah Carey’s 1993 cover single and Badfinger’s classic love song “Without You” performed by Valentina Hasan, a contestant who auditioned for the Bulgarian TV show Music Idol in February 2008.
Although Ms. Hasan didn’t make the cut to the next round of competition, her audition clip quickly spread through Bulgarian internet hubs and gained over four million views within the first month of debut on YouTube. Origin Valentina Hasan appeared on Music Idol’s second season audition on February 7th 2008.
