While they're probably not the first cookie or bar I would crave, (I admit, I'm a fan of chocolate chip!) I have so many lovely childhood memories attached to them. And, if you have the time to marinate it over night… whoa, joey, watch out. So, let’s pretend you buy the pork butt and have the time to marinate it overnight. Take your big-ass, delish pork shoulder/butt, place it in a baking dish skin-side up and sprinkle it all over w/ adobo (Goya makes a few versions of this that you can keep in your spice cabinet or you can make your own by sprinkling garlic power, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, salt and oregano all over the pork).

Add half of chopped green onion and half garlic. Stir in meat and cook until no longer pink. Pour in all but 2 tbsp wine simmer 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat to meduim low, add parsley, tomato sauce, spices except curry and simmer 15 minutes.Drain any fat. Stack phyllo on work surface. Preheat oven to 350.
