And for others the choice is to practice (exercise) without that little ball of joy nearby or incorporated into that very important part of your life. Yoga is a huge part of my life and my family’s life, my son Harper (now four), and my daughter Meredith (now 2) were from day one my little yogi buddies and walking buddies, they did (and still do) everything I do. Because to me, my mindset was my kids were going to be a part of my life, a part of my practice and a part of my studio, I wanted them to know no different, just like some want their kids to learn a certain prayer or family tradition, I wanted my kids to learn to live a holistic-yogic lifestyle from early on. (I just have to type that out, so that it can sink in….because I can’t even believe it myself!) Yes…..I’m being induced. And can hardly wait to meet this little turkey! And to have my abdomen back. And lots of cozy room for my bladder to expand like normal. So, I’ve been organizing baby gear, washing a trillion onesies, gathering baby jammies, and trying to guess how many size 1 diapers to buy (because we all know this little chunk won’t ever be in newborn diapers). Anyway, I have several things to share (and some will show up here after he comes)……but I am officially done. First up?? Please be sure to wash flannel and cotton before sewing as it may shrink in the wash. With the first day of Fall next Sunday I'm really excited to see a change in the weather. Fall is my favorite season and I'm ready for Summer to leave us now. You all know how obsessed I am with crafting. I am so thankful that my daughter shares my love of getting creative. Today we decided to do a Fall project to hang on our wall during the season. Couple years ago, before I found Ravelry, I saw a knit pair and tried to make it in crochet. Many attempts by trial and error have led to these notes. (Many attempts that probably could have been avoided if I had found Ravelry earlier.) I have never written a pattern before, so I don’t guarantee anything. Some of it had been scribbled down here and there, but lots was still just in my head. Soles can be made either with or without the non-slip sole. I do make these in many sizes, shorter/longer, thinner/fatter, smaller/taller, but after a week of trying just to explain one pair, I no longer have the brain power to explain the other sizes. I have included a variation to do the black trimmed version, more like an actual shoe.
