10 Forgotten Lands Submerged By The Ocean. Our World Millions of years ago, the world was one big continent.
Over time, the supercontinent of Pangaea broke up into smaller continents, which then also broke into smaller continents. Today, we’re all familiar with the arrangement of the Earth’s parts—at least, when it comes to the lands above the surface of the ocean. 10New Moore/South Talpatti Called New Moore Island in India and South Talpatti Island in Bangladesh, this tiny rock in the Bay of Bengal quickly became a bone of contention after it surfaced following the Bhola Cyclone of 1971.

So it probably came as something of a surprise to both countries when the island they were fighting over sank again in 2010. 9Graham Island/Ferdinandea/Ile Julia As you may be able to tell from its ridiculous number of names, Graham Island, Ferdinandea, or Ile Julia was also claimed by several countries. 8Lohachara Island 7Beringia 6Mauritia.
10 Earth Anomalies That You (Probably) Never Knew Existed, page 1. Hello ATS!
I am back with another brain bubbling thread! I like posting these kinds of threads because they are a breath of fresh air from all of the doom and gloom threads that make the atmosphere here on ATS so thick and heavy. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy my doom and gloom just as much as the next nut, but sometimes it can get to be too much. That is why I have set out to create a buffer zone here on ATS with threads like these. As always, I really do not have much to add as this is simply an informative post created for your entertainment.
Unusual, New Earth Anomalies and Phenomenon Appearing. Note: I don’t believe the official “story” on these sinkhole craters.
Physicist Susan Rennison theorizes some sinkholes are made by cosmic energy hitting the planet like a laser beam, although the sinkholes she pointed out were smooth around the top rim and shot straight down. These craters have a small amount of debris around the perimeter and funnel inward. Taking a look at the rock on the interior of the crater rim the rock appears to have been melted, there are no jagged edges anywhere and from the charred color, the inner wall appears to be burned. Murdock/Acharya S "Our world has two sets of natural laws. One set tells us stupidly simple things about gravity and nature. The other tells us that space and time are constantly distorted in our reality, and that we are all subject to the still undefined laws of that second set. " John Keel, Disneyland of the Gods "Probably nothing could ever dislodge sceptics from positions clung to for their very life. Skepticism is the basis for science. Much of the time, the materialistic depiction of life rings true, as the supernatural or paranormal does not concretely factor into daily life. Let us inspect some of these inexplicable and earthshaking events that have allegedly occurred over the thousands and millions of years. By D.M. Earth Anomalies - Alien Anomalies. 10 Mysterious Underwater Anomalies. Mysteries From surviving ancient manuscripts it is clear that there has always been a belief that new lands could rise up from the ocean, while old ones could sink into the sea, destroying former civilizations in the process.
The most famous of all the lost lands is that of Atlantis, described in great detail by Plato almost 2,500 years ago. During the past century as we developed the technology to fly and with the advent of sonar and better diving equipment, numerous underwater anomalies have been discovered. Sites such as the Bimini Road have been probed and discussed at length by many, but not all of the sites are so close to the surface, and often times the depth of the water limits our investigations to sonar images and samples taken by submersibles.
