Zij stuurden deze brief aan VU-rector magnificus Van der Duyn Schouten, KNAW-president Clevers en voorzitter Dittrich van universiteitenvereniging VSNU (aan koning Willem Alexander hebben ze niet gedacht). Omdat in de brief een misleidende voorstelling van zaken wordt gegeven van de zaak-Nijkamp, heb ik alle 84 ondertekenaars een e-mail gestuurd met de vraag hoe zij zich eigenlijk hebben geïnformeerd.
