Hotchata. Review by Lyndee: It was a super busy weekend and I was looking for something sweet, warm and relaxing last night for my late night snack.
Drinkify. Homemade Butterbeer Recipe. I also have a Frozen Butterbeer recipe!
Check it out! 🙂 As I continue my little celebration of the release of Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 1, today I get to share with you my favorite treat that I have ever, ever made: butterbeer! It seems to be the Harry Potter food that most people want to try more than any other! Fortunately, now you can, of course, at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I was lucky enough to go to WWOHP back in June. Jelly Shot Test Kitchen. Pumpkin Pie Martini. Make-Ahead Frozen Margaritas - blended, frozen in mason jars, ready to serve. It's hard to beat a margarita on a hot day.
This recipe is a favorite that I've been making for many, many years. Like somewhere around 30 years. King-Man and I often enjoy these margaritas on a hot summer night or when we have friends over. The only problem is that you have to make a whole blender full at one time. When it's just the two of us, as much as I would like to drink a half a blender of margaritas on my own, that's normally not a good idea.
I love to serve these when we have parties, but I don't want to be a slave to the blender all night. This recipe is so easy. Step-by-step photos for Make-Ahead Frozen Margaritas Step 1. View on Amazon: margarita salt UPDATE WITH NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP: Since first posting this recipe, I have become concerned about the high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in the frozen limeade concentrate. View on Amazon: organic agave nectar syrup Don't like agave nectar? Mike’s Sunrise (Holly’s NYE Drink) I made a delicious drink today.
I was going to post about it tomorrow, but I think everyone will be hung over and not want to hear about an alcoholic drink. I think that’s how I’m going to feel at least. Right now though, I feel good and I’m looking for a delicious New Year’s Eve Drink. This drink is probably one of the prettiest drinks I’ve ever made. Not just because it’s in a martini glass (which automatically makes everything prettier), but it’s also pink, layered, has a sugar rim, and has a cherry in it.
So They Say It's My Birthday . . . Birthday Cupcake Jelly Shot, anyone?
Make a wish!!! Oh, wait . . . no candles. Sorry! They melt the jelly shots. Naples Fruit Tea Cocktail. Monday, May 17, 2010 Naples Fruit Tea Cocktail There’s no better feeling than good friends & good cocktails.
"Faux"jitos! I love mojitos.
A bubbly concoction of rum, mint and lime, they're especially refreshing. The mojito (moe-hee-toe) is my favorite summer cocktail, and it pairs beautifully with my porch rocking chair and a nice summer breeze (did I just say that? Wow, I'm getting old!). However, there are a couple inherent problems with my favorite drink. The first problem is that on the rare occasion that Keith and I go out for drinks, I'm usually looking at a 50/50 shot at getting a mojito, since a lot of restaurants don't stock fresh mint.
Lucky for me, the only thing I've managed to grow successfully in my summer garden is spearmint. OK, so now to tackle the second problem. My solution? My "faux"jito comes in around 69 calories (just about what's in an ounce of rum, really). Lastly, I hope that you enjoy your summer, your family and your friends, but please drink responsibly. "Faux"jito serves 1. Homemade Kahlua. I am not sure if it is the kids, everyday life or what, but I have come to really enjoy a cocktail or two every now and again. Combine that with my never ending desire to try something new in the kitchen and I just had to try making my own Kahlua. The main thing I found is that the longer I let this Kahlua rest, the better it tasted as it mellowed out. It is truly delicious and a wonderful hostess gift.
Cheers! Grown Up Hot Chocolate with Homemade Bailey's Marshmallows. Hi.
I’m dying to tell you about this boozy hot cocoa, but I drank my way down a few mugs and am currently trying to crawl my way out. Like everything else this week, it wasn’t my idea… a bunch of you [like Allison] looked at me [virtually] as if I was insane for not putting the marshmallow vodka in hot chocolate.
