Nouveau ! Caractéristiques Save
Des Outils Pour La Classe Learning to Add and Subtract {FREE printable} Just recently, I attended a training session called Reading in Math. It was an interesting session that really stretched my thoughts about reading. While the session was designed for upper elementary, middle, and high school, I had a lot of take-aways for my own kiddos, especially when it came to word problems and math vocabulary. While my Kindergartner has the basics of how to add and subtract, I wanted to stretch him a bit and bring in some of that math vocabulary. *This post contains affiliate links. Learning to Add and Subtract with a Graphic Organizer Learning new concepts works best if we start with the concrete and then move to the abstract. In this pack, you’ll find a graphic organizer I call Mickey Martian, a borrowed name from a veteran teacher. <A HREF=" Mickey Martian works well for both addition and subtraction, depending on which way you orient him. It I also works with subtraction. Add and Subtract with Word Problems More Math Ideas:

arts plastiques Playdough Geometry: Exploring Shapes | School Time Snippets I love making learning fun in our homeschool...I try anyways! In an effort to do that, I find myself online a lot looking for inspiration. My search led me to TeachersPayTeachers where I found some cute printable shapes cards. And I decided right then we had to use them! You just need a few materials and you are ready for some hands-on geometry exploring shapes for your preschooler or elementary aged student! post may contain affiliate links. Supplies: craft sticksplay doughshape cards Using play dough and craft sticks is a great hands-on way to explore geometry-- the study of shapes, lines, and patterns! Great for fine motor skills, too! Grab a tub or two of play dough and a stash of craft sticks {ours came from CraftProjectIdeas}. Start with one of the shape cards and manipulate the playdough to make several balls. Next add in the craft sticks and continue until your shape is made! I worked on some basic shapes with Little Sis-- the triangle, square, and rhombus. Pretty cool!

Interactive Fraction Wall explore Fractions Percentages and Decimals Fraction walls are a great way to teach about fractions and in particular equivalent fractions. In a fraction wall each row or layer of the wall represents one whole number. The layers are divided into a number of bricks and hence each brick represents a fraction whose denominator is equal to the number of bricks in that layer. Each brick can be turned on or off by clicking it. Selecting different walls When you launch this interactive teaching program the initial wall is a mixed one showing 3 distinct fraction families. Fractions, decimals or percentages Use the display type control to display decimals (rounded to 2dp), percentages (rounded to 1dp), fractions or none. The equivalent fraction control Normally when you click a brick to turn it on or off, only that brick is affected. Least Common Multiple Also known as 'the lowest common multiple' or 'smallest common multiple' is crucial when adding, subtracting or comparing fractions.
