Pencil Tip Micro Sculptures Pencil Tip Micro Sculptures Dalton Ghetti creates awesomely stunning miniature sculptures on pencil tips! Mind blown! (Unfortunately I couldn’t find his official website.) Double Take 'Toons: Unoccupied Wall Street Acting on allegations of illegal activities at OWS sites (which has been decried as a pretext), cities across the country evicted protesters. Nate Beeler thinks the occupiers have worn out their welcome, while Jimmy Margulies is concerned that the removal went too far. Nate Beeler/The Washington Examiner
'South Park' Occupies Wall Street Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is the stud you love to hate—at least onscreen. As Jaime Lannister, the rakish, incestuous “Kingslayer” on Game of Thrones, he’s an object of attraction (devilishly handsome) and derision (he loves his sister). On Sunday night’s episode, the pendulum swung towards the latter when he sexually assaulted his sister, Cersei, beside the altar of their dead love child, Joffrey. He’s not much better in The Other Woman. In Nick Cassavetes’s comedy, the Danish actor plays Alex King, a suave, Maserati-driving, bespoke suit-wearing angel investor who cheats on his adoring wife, Kate (Leslie Mann), with two other beauties—a career-minded lawyer, Carly (Cameron Diaz), and a young hottie, Amber (Kate Upton). When Kate uncovers the charade, the three ladies band together to take down the scumbag.
Crazy Awesome Paintings by Vladimir Kush Here is a collection of the incredible paintings of Vladimir Kush. Vladimir has been creating these surrealistic paintings since the late 80’s. I’m extremely impressed by his work, and you should be as well! Related Plywood Paintings by Robert Romanowic Plywood Paintings by Robert Romanowic, very unique and awesome! The World's Most Complex Architectural Columns Architect and programmer Michael Hansmeyer has undertaken a most ambitious project, designing an incredibly ornate and complex column with over 16 million individual facets! Hansmeyer has taken his initiative beyond the computer design phase and actually fabricated a full-scale 2.7 meter (8.8 ft) column made from stacked cardboard sheets. Check out the pics and information below for more details on this fascinating exploration. The project involves the conception and design of a new column order based on subdivision processes. It explores how subdivision can define and embellish this column order with an elaborate system of ornament. An abstracted doric column is used as an input form to the subdivision processes.
Wall Street Protesters Lose Bid to Return to New York City Park With Tents “Occupy Wall Street” protesters lost a bid to overturn their eviction and the removal of tents and structures from a lower Manhattan park where they had been demonstrating 24 hours a day for eight weeks. New York City police pushed into the park early this morning, forcibly removing demonstrators who had been camping there to protest inequality of wealth, unemployment and the financial industry. “The movants have not demonstrated that they have a First Amendment right to remain in Zuccotti Park along with their tents, structures, generators and other installations to the exclusion of the owners' reasonable rights and duties to maintain Zuccotti Park,” New York State Supreme Court Justice Michael Stallman wrote in a ruling issued today. The court’s decision may signal a turning point as municipal officials seek to curtail sister protests that have sprung up in cities across the country including Oakland, California, Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City.
Top Foreclosure Firm Threw Homeless-Themed Halloween Bash This is what happens when corporations or banks brainwash their ignorant employees to disassociate from reality. The people who work directly with the homeowners are usually not too much better off themselves. I worked at a mortgage arm of a bank. The women who dealt with defaults were shrill, obnoxious and borderline abusive with the clients. They would shriek at them for "not paying the mortgage first" and would give them bullshit "advice" about how to come up with more money to pay the bank. They would routinely advise that the mortgage holders not pay their credit cards or other bills first, such as medical bills.
