GamesIndustry.biz GameScience Zelda makes analyst's list of 2009 releases - News at GameSpot With this year's release of Wii installments for Super Smash Bros., Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart, there are few cherished Nintendo series in need of a new-generation debut. That means it's about time for the publisher to start a second lap of its greatest hits, and if one industry analyst's prognostication is accurate, leading off that lap could be a second installment of The Legend of Zelda. In a note to investors this morning, Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian listed a slate of 22 games that could potentially help drive a 5 percent growth in game sales for 2009. In addition to heavily anticipated games like Resident Evil 5 and Starcraft II, Sebastian included a new Princess Peach adventure and an as-yet-unannounced Zelda game. In the report, the list of games was sourced to Lazard's research, as well as to company reports. The last Zelda installment, The Twilight Princess, was a launch game for the Wii in November of 2006. Research: Americans Spent 2008 Playing World Of Warcraft, PlayStation 2 Games @ShadowOdin: Totally agree with you 100%. I clock a lot of hours on my PS3, but am fortunate enough to own a backwards compatible one. If I had a newer one, the play time would drop significantly. @ShadowOdin: Please tell me you softmodded that puppy! Mine has an NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 emulator on it, not to mention a very shitty PS1 emulator to boot! @ShadowOdin: what will happen when KH3 and FF13 versus come out for the ps3? @lllusionx: I'm growing increasingly weary of your remarks. All your comments have that signature and you lace your petty conceptions with second rate arguments accompanied by feigned, deep-rooted righteousness, without giving so much as a mere thought of truly compromising and listening in on the views of your fellows here. You are - as far as I'm concerned - welcome to respond and say what you will, but change is better than retaliatory mockery of chummy advice. Now that I have cleared the air; Yes, it's curious how the "old-box" ended up as such.
