Caramel Brownie Cheesecake This is a monkeyhead concoction so please don’t be disappointed with me that it’s not 100% homemade. Sometimes as a mom you have to go with your childrens ideas in order to lift their creative wings. Monkey One loves cheesecake and caramel, Monkey Two has a passion for brownies you put the two of these knuckleheads together and look at what they come up with… Caramel Brownie Cheesecake. You gotta love the way these boys think. To see their vision come to fruition we used one of our favorite brownie mixes, a no bake white chocolate cheesecake recipe from Williams-Sonoma and we tried Jamie’s homemade caramel recipe from My Baking Addiction.

Spiral sugar cookies These colorful cookies from Sprinkle Bakes caught my eye last week as I perused for something festive to bring to Christmas Eve dinner. Aren't they pretty? The green swirl was fun for Christmas, but any color would be just as fun. Stuffed Nutella French Toast with Strawberries Now that the Super Bowl is over, I’m ready to share a few Valentine’s Day goodies with all of you. I know that not everyone celebrates it, many saying it’s just a consumer driven holiday, etc. I thought the same thing until I realized that Valentine’s Day can be more than just a romantic holiday when you make it about all the people you love. If I were closer to my family, I can promise you I’d make them something special. Since I’m not, and since Eric and I are expecting a little one in less than a month (eek!), I decided to make the best of this holiday by making some seriously delicious treats that I’ll be sharing throughout the week.

The Nifty Foodie I can’t believe that I’m typing out this recap right now. For weeks, I was anticipating attending this conference, and while I had a feeling it would be over in the blink of an eye, I still can’t believe it’s really over. Inspiring sessions, meeting amazing fellow bloggers and of course, seeing Mickey…it’s hard to put into words how wonderful this conference was, but oh man, if you ever have the opportunity to attend this conference, do it. Lovin' From the Oven: Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies I procrastinate from my homework the best when I’m baking. Seriously. Instead of writing a 1000 word paper, I browse through my bookmarks on my computer and decide what I want to bake. Blueberry Muffins Recipe Muffins are a dangerous thing in my kitchen. I don’t make them all too often because when I do, I can’t stop eating them. For breakfast, for snacks, pretty much any time I walk past the kitchen and spy the container. It may all go back to college when our dorm room was regularly adorned with those slabs of muffins from Sam’s Club. If I remember correctly there was blueberry, banana nut and chocolate.

Bakers Royale - StumbleUpon I should warn this is basically Fluffernutter on steroids, so aside from melting marshmallows and folding in some peanut butter, I also threw in chopped up Nutter Butter, chopped up Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and mini marshmallows. It’s like peanut butter fudge meets a Fluffernutter. Fluffernutter Bars This past weekend was madness for us. I came from work on Friday night and Matt stopped me before I could come in to tell me some heartbreaking and painful news that’s too difficult to share until we can resolve it. How To Make Perfect Brownies I’ve tried lots of brownie recipes: Boxes, scratch, frosted, plain, nuts, chips, fudge … Each of them has something to like, but depending on my mood I might want a change of pace. Not any more. My wife found this recipe, and it’s perfect. I’m done looking. This is the brownie recipe that I’ll use from now on. Ingredients
