Фото и рисунки, арт и креативная реклама Goat + Sheep = baby Geep! Sheep-goat hybrid Oreo and his mum at a NSW children's daycare centre. Picture: Gary Graham Source: The Daily Telegraph HALF sheep, half goat? You've got to be kidding. That is what farmer Terry Crompton thought when he discovered his ewe had just given birth to a hybrid. While it sounds bizarre, the genetic fluke is officially known as a "geep". "One of the boys told me the lamb had arrived," Mr Crompton said. "It was dark, and I went into the paddock looking for her mother and she had this little black and white bundle. "We don't get black and white lambs, and as soon as I felt it I knew it didn't have wool, it had hair. "I said its father must be a goat." Proving to be more than just the black sheep of the family, the geep, named Oreo, was born to a sheep but is a genetic throwback from its father - a ram with goat genes. Oreo runs like a goat and has a goat's face and feet but a sheep's build. Follyfoot supervisor Tracey Yoemans said Oreo's remarkable birth took everyone by surprise.

ZooBorns The San Diego Zoo’s Mandrill group welcomed a new addition to their ranks last week. Female, Kesi, gave birth to a baby boy, and he is the first Mandrill born at the Zoo in over 14 years. Animal care staff had been watching for Kesi to give birth; but the night before, there were still no signs she was in labor. The next day, staff members said they were surprised to see Kesi walk out of her bedroom holding her new baby. “It’s like every day we would come in, in the morning, and think like there might be a baby – we don’t know,” Jenny Baublit, senior primate keeper at the San Diego Zoo. This is the first baby for Kesi and male Mandrill, Jasper. Photo Credits: San Diego Zoo/Tammy Spratt The Mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) is the largest and most colorful of the Old World monkeys. Mandrills are native to small social units in the rain forests of equatorial Africa. The species is listed as “Vulnerable” on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species.

Day 63 – DIY Corona Glasses I cannot even tell you how excited I was when I found this pin explaining how simple it is to cut glass bottles. For our first anniversary, my husband signed us up for a glassblowing class. It was awesome and we had a great time. As we were leaving, one of the artists was turning Corona bottles into drinking glasses for a friend’s wedding gift. You can cut glass bottles at home using materials you probably already have on hand. glass bottles yarn nail polish remover lighter sink full of ice water sandpaper 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
