Apps That Rise to the Top: Tested and Approved By Teachers With the thousands of educational apps vying for the attention of busy teachers, it can be hard to sift for the gold. Michelle Luhtala, a savvy librarian from New Canaan High School in Connecticut has crowd-sourced the best, most extensive list of apps voted on by educators around the country. “I wanted to make sure we had some flexibility because there’s no one app that’s better than all the others,” Luhtala said. Some apps are best for younger students, others are more complicated, better suited for high school students. Many apps do one thing really well, but aren’t great at everything. 30Hands allows a user to make pictures, annotate them, record a voice explainer and then packages it all into a video. Adobe Voice is a recently released education product from Adobe that allows students to narrate a story over an array of digital images. Book Creator is only available for iPads, allowing kids to easily create their own iBook by importing images, multimedia, text, and audio.

Mettere l’accento su questo aspetto della formazione delle nuove generazioni altro non è che prendere coscienza di un problema già fortemente sentito dalla scuola: la necessità di trasformare le presunte abilità digitali degli studenti in vere e proprie competenze. FlipAnim: creare brevi animazioni online Vi segnalo un nuovo, simpaticissimo strumento per animare i disegni online. Si tratta di FlipAnim, piattaforma gratuita che potrete utilizzare anche senza registrazione e che assomiglia per certi versi a Parapara, strumento che presentai qualche tempo fa. In pratica vi ritrovate un quaderno su cui dovrete iniziare a disegnare il primo frame. Cliccando sulla seconda icona da sinistra in basso, potrete cambiare strumento di disegno, colore e spessore del tratto. L'icona successiva vi consente invece di far apparire o meno l'ombra del disegno nei frames successivi (funzione utilissima per controllare i movimenti dell'animazione), per accellerare o rallentare la sequenza (esiste comunque un cursore sotto lo spazio del disegno per questa funzione). In alto invece trovate i comandi per aggiungere nuovi frames, per duplicare il disegno (comando utilissimo soprattutto per i disegni molti ricchi di colori e particolari) e per cancellare il singolo frame. Very many thanks to all those who took the time to complete the online form, write a blog post, send me an email or tweet me their selection. I have now compiled the Top 100 Tools for Learning 2015, updated the Top 100 Tools for Learning website and prepared a slideset, which I have hosted on Slideshare and embedded below. For the 7th year running Twitter is the No 1 tool on the list, although this year it is very closely followed by YouTube, and once again, the list is dominated by free online tools and services. I can also see some interesting new trends in the tools that are being used for both personal learning and for creating learning content and experiences for others, and my analysis is here. In un periodo in cui, dopo il Congresso di Vienna, si riaccendono forti i sentimenti nazionalistici, particolarmente i paesi nordici (Germania, Gran Bretagna, Francia) non accettano la presunta superiorità dell’arte classica anzi vedono negativamente questo periodo ritenendolo quello in cui i paesi dell’area mediterranea avevano esercitato un forte predominio nei confronti delle loro radici culturali. Il movimento romantico ricerca le proprie radici nel Medioevo che viene da questi artisti rivalutato dopo un lungo periodo di oblio (dal rinascimento in poi il Medioevo era sempre stato visto come un periodo oscuro da dimenticare), come quel periodo in cui hanno origine i sentimenti e l’orgoglio nazionale. Si critica l’Accademia come il luogo dove si insegnano i principi e le tecniche che tendono ad uniformare le menti.
