Vipassana Meditation Website Church of the SubGenius Jehovah 1, the primary deity of the Church of the SubGenius The Church of the SubGenius is an American parody and UFO religion that targets established faiths. It teaches a complex belief system that focuses on J. R. "Bob" Dobbs, purportedly a salesman from the 1950s, who is revered as a prophet by the Church. Ivan Stang, who co-founded the Church of the SubGenius in the 1970s, serves as its high profile leader and publicist. Origins[edit] The Church of the SubGenius was founded by Ivan Stang (born Douglas St Clair Smith) and Philo Drummond (born Steve Wilcox) as the SubGenius Foundation. Church leaders maintain that a man named J. Beliefs[edit] Deities[edit] The Church of the SubGenius' ostensible beliefs defy categorization or a simple narrative, often striking outside observers as bizarre and convoluted. The Global Brain Project - A World Evolution Initiative The Art of Living: Vipassana Meditation The following text is based upon a talk given by Mr. S.N. Goenka in Berne, Switzerland. Everyone seeks peace and harmony, because this is what we lack in our lives. We ought to live at peace with ourselves, and at peace with others. In order to be relieved of our misery, we have to know the basic reason for it, the cause of the suffering. How do we start generating negativity? Now, one way to solve this problem is to arrange that nothing unwanted happens in life, that everything keeps on happening exactly as we desire. In India, as well as in other countries, wise saintly persons of the past studied this problem—the problem of human suffering—and found a solution: if something unwanted happens and you start to react by generating anger, fear or any negativity, then, as soon as possible, you should divert your attention to something else. This solution was helpful; it worked. A good solution; it avoids both extremes—suppression and expression. This presents a practical solution.
Panpsychism In philosophy, panpsychism is the view that mind or soul (Greek: ψυχή) is a universal feature of all things, and the primordial feature from which all others are derived. The panpsychist sees him or herself as a mind in a world of minds. Panpsychism is one of the oldest philosophical theories, and can be ascribed to philosophers like Thales, Plato, Spinoza, Leibniz and William James. Panpsychism can also be seen in eastern philosophies such as Vedanta and Mahayana Buddhism. During the 19th century, Panpsychism was the default theory in philosophy of mind, but it saw a decline during the middle years of the 20th century with the rise of logical positivism.[1] The recent interest in the hard problem of consciousness has once again made panpsychism a mainstream theory. Etymology[edit] The term "panpsychism" has its origins with the Greek term pan, meaning "throughout" or "everywhere", and psyche, meaning "soul" as the unifying center of the mental life of us humans and other living creatures

Venus Calendar by John P. Pratt Reprinted from Meridian Magazine (10 Feb 2010). ©2010 by John P. Index,Home The evening and morning star has eight key orbital places, and each corresponds to one major event in the life of Jesus Christ. Many precise dates have been proposed in my previous work for the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. There has always been much confusion about the timing of the visit of the wise men and also of the Herod's murdering of the infants and the flight of Joseph, Mary and Jesus to Egypt to escape it and their subsequent return. 1. The Venus Calendar keeps track of the position of the planet Venus in the heavens. Look at Figure 1 to understand its motion. Venus then moves quickly (8 days) across the sun from the evening sky to the morning, during which it appears to be below the earth all night. Note that in this figure the earth is drawn as if stationary at the bottom of the picture. Now look at Figure 2 and find the same eight points in that diagram. 2. 2.1. 2.2. 3. 4.
Nova Religio The Human Chakra System Click on the Chakra of Interest ROOT chakra Color: Fiery Red Element: Earth Sense: Smell Fundamental Principle: Physical will of being as opposed to spiritual will of being (that of the 7th chakra) Body Association: Spinal column, bones, teeth, nails, anus, rectum, colon, prostate gland, blood, and the building of cells Glands: Suprarenal glands (which produce adrenalin and influence the temperature balance of the body) PURPOSE AND FUNCTION The 1st chakra (Root Chakra) is located between the anus and the genitals. It is connected with the coccyx and opens downward. It connects us to the physical world and lets the earthly energy enter our system. When it is open, we fully accept life on earth and enjoy the physical existence it provides. If your Root Chakra is unbalanced or malfunctioning, your thoughts and actions primarily revolve around material possessions and security, as well as your over indulgence in sensual pleasures such as, good (exotic) foods, alcohol, sex, etc.
