The Mirror Effect Of The Empath And Why Some People Instantly Dislike You We have all experienced it, being around someone who has either taken an instant dislike to us, or a bizarre resentment suddenly appears in those we have known for some time. There may be no clear reason for this change in their behaviour. No matter whether they try to hide their feelings or not, an Empath can sense their loathing and it does not feel good! Someone taking a dislike to another is a completely normal and acceptable part of life. We are all different and there will always be some people we do not get along with, whether Sensitive or not. BBC Trending When the Twitter account of a prominent Yemeni political commentator and high-profile social media user fell silent on 14 August, it did not go unnoticed. Hisham Al-Omeisy is usually a prolific tweeter, known for his updates, in both English and Arabic, about the social and humanitarian crisis in his country. I’ll Always Give You A Reason To Stay I’m not one to beg. I’m not going to sit on my knees, and tearfully look up at you with a wish written on my mouth. I’m not going to pathetically shout to you, if you decide to leave me. I’m not going to sink down into a bed of despair. I’m not that girl. I’m not the one who needs someone else to make me whole. Future - Why our facial expressions don’t reflect our feelings While conducting research on emotions and facial expressions in Papua New Guinea in 2015, psychologist Carlos Crivelli discovered something startling. He showed Trobriand Islanders photographs of the standard Western face of fear – wide-eyed, mouth agape – and asked them to identify what they saw. The Trobrianders didn’t see a frightened face. Instead, they saw an indication of threat and aggression. In other words, what we think of as a universal expression of fear isn’t universal at all.

Make It So! 'Star Trek's' Capt. Picard Returns in New CBS Series As a famous "Star Trek" captain once said, things are only impossible until they're not. An incredible 24 years after "The Next Generation" (TNG) finished its television run, star Patrick Stewart announced he will reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a new CBS series. TNG was a groundbreaking series in its day, dealing with sensitive matters such as torture and gender equality as it followed a space crew exploring the universe and occasionally fighting other species, such as the Borg and the Romulans. TNG clocked seven seasons and 178 episodes between 1987 and 1994, also generating four Hollywood films after the series' end. Stewart, 78, will return to the role via CBS All Access, the same online platform on which new series "Star Trek: Discovery" debuted last year.

After six television series, thirteen feature films, and countless other pieces of media, Star Trek’s fabled final frontier is now well-trodden ground. For Star Trek: Discovery, the seventh TV series in the long-running Trek franchise and the first to take to the airwaves – or rather streaming services – since the conclusion of the last television series in 2005, that was the question. For those keeping track, this new prequel series is set in the so-called Prime timeline that all previous Trek TV shows have occupied to date and not the alternate timeline established by J.J.
