Wicca for the Beginner

Wicca for the Beginner
First it's important to know that there is no one and only Book of Shadows. This concept is a fictional plot device to explain why magyc is not effective without THE Book of Shadows. The idea is that if you just have the right book all your magyc will be effective. This usually sets up a dynamic between the characters where each tries to possess THE book. "Hand in hand, with fairy grace,Will we sing, and bless this place." I want to share with you a picture of the Fairy Kingdom, that is, some of the Fairies and Elementals in this very special, mystical world - at least the ones we know about! These wonderful beings are in abundance in our everyday lives, but we usually take no notice of them, or worse yet, we ignore them! With our busy and technological lives, this aspect of living in harmony with nature and the wonderful beings that inhabit it, is rapidly fading away. Now is the time to reconnect, communicate with and appreciate our fairy friends. The King of the Salamanders is a magnificent being called Djinn. The Archangel associated with the Fire Element is Michael.

An essay on how to be a pagan atheist Talking to the Gods as an Atheist Pagan Author: Amber Magpie Posted: June 12th. 2011 Times Viewed: 4,697 In my bedroom, there is a statue that my grandparents gave me when they returned from Egypt. They didn’t know when they purchased it from a street trader’s stall that the alabaster statue of Bast would end up sharing a shelf of my bookcase with an offering bowl, a pentacle, crystals and consecrated salt. I have a book into which I copy information, as I find more and more of it, on the many feline Goddesses that Egypt worshipped. I have an active part in the atheist and humanist assembly at school. Neither of these sides of me is fake. I am writing this essay mainly so I can add one more opinion on Deity to the huge spectrum of beliefs, all the way from hard polytheism to equally hard atheism that can be combined with Witchcraft. Every year, Years 1 and 2 at Oak Hill School put on a play for parents to watch, and the teacher has said that everyone must have a speaking role.

Introduction to Spell Casting Start by reading Is Magic Real if you haven’t already. You need to come away with at least the tentative hope that, in fact, witchcraft is real. You need to suspend your disbelief long enough to give yourself a fair chance. Can you really do witchcraft? But seriously, I often give the following Wicca for beginner spells to acolytes to help get their astral feet wet, so to speak. The first example was about waking up at a specific time without an alarm clock. The other two examples, however, were from the author’s wife. The first one involves the everyday frustration of finding a parking place. The spell is simplicity itself. Always remember: whether you think you can or can't, you're right. Simply visualize the parking space you want and know that you will have it. This is a main tenant of real witchcraft: the further away in time you invoke a result the more likely it is to happen. In any event, you have to park before you can walk. Coincidence, you say? Try flipping a coin. Reni
