Devil's Tuning Fork by Kevin Geisler
What if you saw the world with your ears? Devil's Tuning Fork is a first-person exploration/puzzle game in which the player must navigate an unknown world using visual sound waves. Inspired by M.C. Escher’s classic optical illusion and the echolocation of dolphins, The Devil’s Tuning Fork allows the player to explore a new mode of perception through sound visualization. As a mysterious epidemic causes children everywhere to fall into comas, one child wakes up in an alternate reality.
The Essential Missing Half of Getting Things Done
Since I’ve been using David Allen’s Getting Things Done system for a few years now, I’ve made many refinements to it to suit my own style. The most important has been linking the low-level project-action focus of GTD with my own high-level focus on purpose and goals. My personal GTD system starts with purpose. At that level I have a one-sentence statement of my life’s purpose plus a longer mission statement.
Copacetic
Pronounced /kəʊpəˈsɛtɪk/ It’s possible that this word — meaning that something is in excellent order or satisfactory — has created more column inches of speculation in the USA than any other apart from OK. It’s rare to the point of invisibility outside North America. People mostly become aware of it in the sixties as a result of the US space program — it’s very much a Right Stuff kind of word.

Roguelike Primer: Best In Genre For Beginners & Veteran
rocedurally generated dungeon crawling seems to get more popular with each passing year, all building on top of a template first featured way at the start of the 80s. Development jams are held to create them en-masse (this year’s 7DRL challenge kicks off this Saturday), and they’re becoming increasingly commercially viable, thanks to accessible graphical entries in the genre, such as Dungeons of Dredmor, and action-hybrids, like The Binding Of Isaac, leading the way. With so many out there, and aimed at such a wide range of player-bases, it’s hard to know where to start, or even what you’re looking for. “The roguelike is a sub-genre of role-playing video games, characterized by level randomization, permanent death, and turn-based movement. Most roguelikes feature ASCII graphics, with newer games increasingly offering tile-based graphics.

Architects - Jardin Métropole
HHF Architects, together with the landscape architects from Westpol, have succeeded in winning an invited competition with their design for a 30-meter-high apartment tower and an adjoining public green space in the Biel community of Mett. With its distinctive shape – composed of three differently sized cubes piled up at different angles – and the adjoining green public space, the Jardin Métropole is destined to become the symbol of Mett and contribute to the area’s enhancement. The geometry and alignment of the discrete volumes relate to the neighboring buildings.

Honey, I shrunk the speakers!
Photo Credit: Magnapan It's been rumored about for ages, played at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, but sometime in September Magnepan will begin shipping the Mini Maggie System ($1,495). It's a desktop speaker system, albeit one designed to satisfy the most demanding audiophile tastes. I visited the Magnepan factory in White Bear Lake, Minnesota in late July to spend some quality time with the Mini Maggies.
