How-To: Easily Remove the Vocals from Most Songs | r3dux.org 2015 Shortcut: When I wrote this article Audacity didn’t have an automatic center-panned vocal canceling effect… but now it does, so rather than do the stereo-separate / invert-one-track / play-both-as-mono trick (and that’s pretty much all there is to it), you should be able to find the Vocal Remover option in the Effects menu – but it’s more fun / interesting and can give better results if you do it yourself! =D I found this trick the other day whilst stumbling the Interwebs and thought I’d do a quick-write up w/ pictures to make it as easy as possible… For this exercise we’re going to be using a piece of free audio software called Audacity, which you can get for Linux, Windows and Mac. Update: If you’re trying this out on a Mac, please make sure you get Audacity 1.3 Beta or newer – the stable 1.2 version appears to have a missing equaliser decibal-range slider which you need towards the end of the process! 1.) 2.) 3.) With that done, give it a play and see what happens! 4.) 5.) Wrap Up

150+ Free Kids Songs - Let's Play Music The collection of songs we have here on Let’s Play Music is growing so quickly I thought it might be useful to attempt to have them all in once place! So here it is – the free kids songs directory. Each of the categories will be automatically updated as and when I post more kids songs, so be sure to bookmark this page so that you can come back and visit again. I have lots of other musical activities on the website that won’t feature here, as I thought it would be more useful to have this section list the actual songs separately, but you can check out my musical activities by age as well as rhythm activities, listening activities, literacy activities, easy music theory activities and first piano lesson activities by following these links or in the nav bar. I will be working on a way to display these on the homepage in the near future. Happy exploring! My music lesson plans for kids aged 1-5+ are also organised by theme, you can check them out here. 150+ Free Kids Songs Seasonal Songs

I suppose I should explain my very large and obvious absence to all of you who have continued to visit and comment despite my lack of attention. Let's see, where was I? Middle to end of July is the annual Bulldog Family Vacation! All summer Mrs. One morning while on our little trip I received a phone call from a very energetic teacher that was welcoming me to her school and said she couldn't wait to start working together! It was that moment, with three weeks left of summer, that I completely embraced my new role as Junior High Social Studies Teacher, Elementary Music Teacher (Pre-K - 5th), and Junior High Choir Teacher. As you know from my previous posts, I think pictures tell a better story so without further adieu... my classroom! So this was just a little tour of what my room looked like throughout the year. It has been quite an adventure.

Newer PostOlder PostHome Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread I’m sorry. I know it’s Monday morning and you probably came here for some pretty pictures of food that you could glance at, and then move on with your day… and here I go thrusting warm, soft cinnamon sugar bread in your face. It’s not fair. I know it’s not fair. I know that now you’re craving cinnamon rolls, and cream cheese frosting and chili fries and hot dogs. I am too… and I already ate half of this warm bread. You don’t deserve this sort of torture. This bread hits all the comfort spots in my soul. I’m sorry and you’re welcome and I love you. Let’s start at the beginning. I did this all without the use of a stand mixer and dough hook. This dough can be made and left to rise , then refrigerated overnight for use in the morning. This is the dough just before it’s left to rise. After the dough has rested and risen for an hour, I knead it in a few tablespoons of flour. This is the part in the bread process where you can wrap the dough and place it in the fridge to rest overnight.
