Photorealistic Pictures Drawn With a BIC Pen EmailEmail At first sight they may look like some pretty sharp blue photographs, however all those pictures are actually hand drawn with a simple Bic ballpoint pen! Spanish artist Juan Francisco Casas uses up to four 14p ballpoint pens to create his incredibly photorealistic drawings, measuring up to 10ft (3 meters) high. The use of penballs makes Juan’s drawings even more original, which certainly has played a big role in his way to success, and his works are already a sell-out at exhibitions. His source of inspiration comes from his own photographs of nights out with his friends, so you can only imagine how wild his parties are, as half of his drawings include girls that forgot to put on their clothes. The Don'ts in Life fire and ice For Better for Verse | I Look Into My Glass accent: emphasis given a syllable in ordinary usage, as provided by a pronouncing dictionary. See also stress. accentual-syllabic: the prosodic mode that dominated English-language poetry 1400-1900, and that this tutorial exclusively addresses. Alike distinct from verse that is quantitative (measuring duration, as in classical Greek and Latin), accentual (counting only beats, as in Old English), and syllabic (counting only syllables, as in certain: 20th-cy. experiments), accentual-syllabic verse is based on recurrent units (feet) that combine slacks and stresses in fixed sequence. acephalous line: a “headless” line in iambic or anapestic meter, which omits (a) slack syllable(s) from the first foot. alexandrine: iambic hexameter line, usually with a strong midpoint caesura; most familiar in Romance-language poetry but not rare in English. alliteration: repetition of the same initial sound in nearby words. anapest: metrical foot consisting of two slacks and a stress: υ υ / anaphora: assonance: iamb:

Anonymous Confessions As they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – but what if we could share with full discretion? Everyone of us has his own little secrets and ‘Confessions’, a public art project by american artist Candy Chang, invites people to anonymously share their confessions and see the confessions of people around them in the heart of the Las Vegas strip. Chang lived in Las Vegas for a month and turned her P3 Studio gallery into a contemplative place for people to share their confessions and being fascinated by the secrets others hide inside themselves. Inspired by Post Secret, Shinto shrine prayer walls, and Catholicism, people could write and submit their confessions on wooden plaques in the privacy of confession booths. By the end of the exhibition, over 1500 confessions were displayed on the walls. It’s about sex, love, or fears of dying alone. All images © Candy Chang | Via: My Modern Met
