France’s Elisa Detrez wins Best Job in the World - Queensland Blog on June 21, 2013 at 1:00 am After four intensive days of on-location challenges, we’re proud to announce Elisa Detrez from Paris as Queensland’s new Park Ranger. After wiping out more than 330,000 applicants from 196 countries and raising publicity and support for her application, Elisa and two other finalists arrived in Queensland last Thursday for a packed schedule of challenges including reef snorkelling, rainforest zip-lining and social media assignments. And it may be the Best Job in the World, but it’s not your average 9-5 gig. Our former island caretaker Ben Southall called it “the world’s busiest job” for good reason. Elisa landed the $100,000 contract after impressing the judges with her enthusiasm and excellent ideas for how she will get people stoked on travelling to the sunshine state. Originally from Paris, she has degrees in Business Management Tourism and Political Sciences, speaks four languages and has lived and worked in Spain, New Zealand and Germany.

Uber France x PNL 10 Restaurant Secrets to Creating an Incredible Mea Ah, dessert! The highly-anticipated closing statement of the meal, desserts and pastries are an art form all to themselves. The folks at Brasserie T in Chicago recommend choosing a dessert for flavor instead of form, but that's easy for them to say. Co-owner Gail Gand is a pastry chef. All of their offerings are gorgeous. "A pastry chef has to combine the skills of a jeweler, a physicist, a chemist, an artist, a perfumer, and an assembly-line worker," she writes in the introduction of "butter sugar flour eggs," a book she co-authored with her husband and restaurant partner Rick Tramonto and food writer Julia Moskin. For this memorable finishing touch to your meal, don't be afraid to do what Couch Restaurants at the University of Oklahoma do: Call in the experts. You've worked hard enough on this meal.
Politics of Australia Government The Commonwealth government was created with a constitution patterned partly on the United States Constitution. The powers of the Commonwealth are specifically defined in the constitution, and the residual powers remain with the states. (See Australian Constitutional History.) Australia is an independent nation within the Commonwealth. The federal Parliament is bicameral, consisting of a 76-member Senate and a 148-member House of Representatives. Each state is headed by a premier, who is the leader of the party with a majority or a working minority in the lower house of the state legislature. At the apex of the court system is the High Court of Australia. The Liberal Party/National Party coalition came to power in the March 1996 election, ending 13 years of ALP government and electing John Howard as Prime Minister.
