Postcard Birthday Poster DIY

Before And After: My Bar Cart
Hey, do you remember when I found that bar cart at an estate sale for ten bucks and had my husband stand there with his hand on it—like those Keep Your Hand On The Car competitions they used to have at state fairs, except with fewer deep-fried Twinkies—so that I could run and find someone to give me a price on it before another bargain hunter bought it first? And then I took it home and put it on my front porch like the classy broad that I am and took a picture of it to show you that it looked like this? Well, now it looks like this: Yay, gold! I love gooooooooold.
Turn a playing card into a solar charger for AA batteries
I own loads of rechargeable NiMH AA and AAA batteries, but most always seem to be dead when I need them. So, I wanted a cheap and fast way to make battery chargers that I can keep on my desk, so that I could have an armada of charged batteries at all times. I didn't want to take up more outlets and have more wire spaghetti with plug-in chargers, so I settled on a solar charger. I'm in the solar business so I had stacks of small pieces of raw lasercut PV silicon cells (solettes) laying around, and I first made a simple battery charger with a few business cards as a backing. Then I found that playing cards were a more stable backing -- and besides, they looked neat.
The Most Photogenic Dog on the Internet
The 17-year-old photographer Jessica Trinh shot her dog Chuppy. This lovely golden retriever is very likable. In addition to great photography, I think it is very harmonious relationship of Jessica and Chuppy, otherwise it is very difficult to shoot such a warm photo. Source ,Source

The idea is to record different parts of my personality for my posterity, and I guess you get to know me better by default. I think this’ll be super fun and I invite you to play along!
