Create a realistic folded paper text in Photoshop Today we will learn how to realize a folded paper text effect from scratch in Photoshop. We will firstly create the background using a couple of patterns, then we will work on the type treatment with the help of the pen tool, layer masks and other useful techniques related to dodge,burn and the transform tool. Step 1 Create a new document in Photoshop. *note for Mac users: ctrl=cmd, alt=option Step 2 Fill the background with a dark green (#41514c). Step 3 To create the textured effect of the background, I’ve used 2 of our soft grunge patterns created by Piervincenzo. Select the pattern2_380_hard and press ok to fill the background. Creating A Text Montage May 8th, 2006 by ART-D Posted in Adobe Photoshop, Special Effects This is a technique that you have probably seen before. A face, or picture, is made up of a huge body of text, but the text is different colors or shades to make it look like the picture? First, find a picture you want to convert to a text montage. Alright, now, we’re going to convert it to black and white. Alright, a box will pop up once you click Channel Mixer. Alright, now you need the text that will make up the image. Now, grab your text tool (T), and drag a rectangle over the entire image. This is just making the text closer together, and evenly spaced. Ok, now duplicate your text layer twice. Rasterize all three text layers by right clicking, and then selecting Rasterize Type in the pop up menu. Ok, now in the Layers palette, make the text layers invisible, by clicking the eye. Now, go to Select>Color Range. From the Select drop down box, choose Shadows. Now you have all your text layers. A photo montage made of text.

Here is the press release we were sent: “Our planning agency, the Archikron Architect and Interior Design Studio planned and carried out this 270 square meter, two-level, self-contained house with a flat roof, in Budapest. The exterior of the house is constituted by mostly natural materials, such as limestone wall coating and timber panels. The doors and windows were made of timber with triple glazed windows, which is an important viewpoint in connection to the present-day energy costs.The interiors are characterized by a minimalist design. Bright,white walls and flooring, wenge and zebrano veneer surfaces alternate to create visual appeal.
