This got me thinking, “what do you do with a tee when you don’t want to wear it anymore? (and you don’t want to give them to charity for whatever reason)” I’ve got more than 200 t-shirts in my wardrobe (and out of it, and draped on chairs, and stacked in cupboards, and hanging on racks), and they don’t all fit me now, so I thought I’d hunt around and find out what they devil I could do with all those superflous tees. As it turns out, other people have this problem too, and there are loads of tutorials out there with interesting ideas for how to recycle your t-shirts into something ‘new’.

zippered keychain clutch usually i don't mind doing laundry...but i hate having to trek around with all my stuff only to realize that i forgot quarters. and i'm the only one with a key to the laundry area which means if i'm not home my boyfriend can't do laundry, not that he would anyway lol. so i decided to make a little pouch to hold quarters that i could also keep on a keychain with the key to the laundry room. Supplies: -(2) 5"x4" pieces of outer fabric -(2) 5"x4" pieces of lining fabric -(1) 4" zipper -interfacing Day 21 - Fabric boxes I found a few pics of these sweet little fabric boxes in the latest issue of Cotton Time and thought I'd make one to sit on the table to hold Christmas nibbles etc.. At the moment though Bella and James are using it to hold textas and christmas cards! So easy to make - just sandwich two pieces of fabric (for the top and bottom) plus a piece of interfacing (to stiffen it a little) and some ribbon for the ties....stitch together and turn in the right way and then you have a sweet little box that can be untied and rolled up when you want to store it.

Tissue case tutorial I’ve used my new sewing machine to make these very simple tissue cases from scrap of linen fabrics. They are basically a lined fabric rectangle folded to meet at the center. I make the outer fabric longer than the lining fabric so it automatically folded inside, because I don’t like the lining fabric showing at the edge. It also eliminates the need of topstitching.
