The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
“Everyone’s looking for rules to follow, and the sooner you realize there aren’t any, the better art can be.”– Jerrod Carmichael Jerrod Carmichael is pushing the boundaries of comedy with his groundbreaking work in stand-up, television, and film. Now just 29 years old, what this driven North Carolina native has accomplished is mind-boggling, and 2017 is going to be his biggest year yet. Jerrod stars in the hit NBC series The Carmichael Show, which he also writes and executive produces. Love at the Store is the funniest standup special I’ve seen in many years, and it’s the reason I reached out to Jerrod. Subconscious Information Processing
It's fathers day and I thought I'd tell a story about my dad and something he taught me a long time ago. I was in middle school and I had a school project due the next day and it came up at dinner that I had not done the project. My dad made me stay up very late that night until I had completed it. But the second thing he explained to me was more subtle and way more powerful. He explained that once your brain starts working on a problem, it doesn't stop. I've taken that approach with every big problem I've faced ever since. I'm a big fan of subconscious information processing. Thanks dad for that tip.

My Story Continues … Overtime, I recognized that I naturally gravitated towards designing graphical interfaces and that I naturally obsessed over the user’s experience while using software. I didn’t give up. Lessons from Following My Passion Photo by Mike BG
