Located near Carboneras, Almeria, the construction of this plant required the expansion of the nearby port where coal arrived from. The Thermal Power Station was the answer to the growing demand for electricity in Andalusia in the early 80’s, due to its growth. During this tour, visitors can see the most important elements of the station: the coal depot, turbines, cooling towers and the control room.
