hoookedzpagetti Chicken Wire Chandelier | {Fun.kyti.me} Who would have thunk, that chicken wire could be used in so many ways! We all saw it re-used mainly in frames, but did you see this luxurious boutique chicken hotel? Those chickens live the dolce vita over there, lol. Then I discovered chicken wire at the Dollar Store and found one of those wire clothe hangers in my closet and my chandelier-idea was born. - Chicken wire - Wire clothe hanger or just craft wire - Hanging tomato planter (we just need the round wire and hanger) - Moss, tea lights, small birds/butterflies, magnetic chandelier crystals, wood branch - Pliers, glue gun 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. -We are half way done- Now we have to attach the tea lights, to make it a real chandelier. 1. 2. 3. 4. This is kind of hard to explain, but if you look at the pictures, it should be clear. And this is it! Total time: ca. 2 hours Total cost: $1 (I just had to buy the chicken wire. Have fun! See you soon, //xoxo, Sibylle//
Piano Recycling at its finest! - Piano World Piano It was a Steinway B from the early 1880's. Termites went all through the beams, the belly rail, the original legs and other parts of the piano. We kicked the project around several times over a decade, but in the end, there wasn't enough to save. As a fountain, the piano was sealed and painted, fiberglass laid in the keybed and over the keys, so the water rushes over the clear fiberglass. Some of you may have seen this image before of anonymous piano art in California. It's amazing how strong are feelings are for pianos, even their imagery gives us the hope of all possibilities. Flower hook patterns Rugs from Recycled T-Shirts « The Chawed Rosin I have a fun book called Rags: Making a Little Something Out of Almost Nothing, written by sisters Linda and Stella Allison and published in 1979. One of the best ideas in the book is making yarn out of old t-shirts. Here are the very simple instructions I used the yarn from four t-shirts and a large t-shirt dress to knit this little rug. It’s a little worn, but has held up very well for several years. Or, if you have a huge pile of t-shirts, you could make this groovy shag rug: More knitting Like this: Like Loading...

V and Co how to: jersey knit bracelet i don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me just want to have my bare feet in the sand, be watching the sun setting into the ocean, and breathing in the warm salty air of the beach...as i get older, more and more i find myself missing that place i used to go to almost every.single.day. as a teen. (my skin doesn't miss it. as a matter of fact, i now wish i listened more and DID put SPF on my face...hindsight is 20/20). my mom calls me from her walk on the beach almost every morning...*sigh*yeah, i get a little homesick around this time of the year. heck on my pinterest my "dreaming of summer" has the most pictures in it. ah yes. i miss my ocean. case in point. this bracelet, brought a flood of memories, not because i used to have one like it but because i can totally see me wearing it by the beach, not caring that it's gotten salty and wet, because i can totally make another one in like less than 5 minutes flat when i get home. *sigh* okay... *cut off excess tails!
