Dark Web Search Engine Kilos: Tipping the Scales in Favor of Cybercrime March 5, 2020 With the recent indictment of Larry Harmon, alleged operator of the Bitcoin tumbling service Helix and darknet search engine Grams, we decided to profile the follow-up to Grams: Kilos. In November 2019, a dark web search engine called “Kilos” emerged from the depths of the cybercriminal underground, ostensibly to play the role of new heavyweight champion of search engines for cybercriminal marketplaces, forums, and illicit products. And with this title, Kilos recognized the need to stand out from the crowd and ensure its entrance onto the scene was not one to be forgotten. Kilos possibly evolved from the well-known dark web search engine “Grams”, which ceased operations in 2017.

Description The Social-Engineer Toolkit (SET) The Social-Engineer Toolkit (SET) was created and written by Dave Kennedy, the founder of TrustedSec. It is an open-source Python-driven tool aimed at penetration testing around Social-Engineering. It has been presented at large-scale conferences including Blackhat, DerbyCon, Defcon, and ShmooCon. With over two million downloads, it is the standard for social-engineering penetration tests and supported heavily within the security community. It has over 2 million downloads and is aimed at leveraging advanced technological attacks in a social-engineering type environment.
Penetration Testing Tools SPARTA is a python GUI application that simplifies network infrastructure penetration testing by aiding the penetration tester in the scanning and enumeration phase. It allows the tester to save time by having point-and-click access to their toolkit and by displaying all tool output in a convenient way. If less time is spent setting up commands and tools, more time can be spent focusing on analysing results. Nikto2 Nikto is sponsored by Netsparker, a dead accurate and easy to use web application security solution. Nikto is an Open Source (GPL) web server scanner which performs comprehensive tests against web servers for multiple items, including over 6700 potentially dangerous files/programs, checks for outdated versions of over 1250 servers, and version specific problems on over 270 servers. It also checks for server configuration items such as the presence of multiple index files, HTTP server options, and will attempt to identify installed web servers and software.
STIGs Home The Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) are the configuration standards for DOD IA and IA-enabled devices/systems. Since 1998, DISA has played a critical role enhancing the security posture of DoD's security systems by providing the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). The STIGs contain technical guidance to "lock down" information systems/software that might otherwise be vulnerable to a malicious computer attack. Make GNU Make is a tool which controls the generation of executables and other non-source files of a program from the program's source files. Make gets its knowledge of how to build your program from a file called the makefile, which lists each of the non-source files and how to compute it from other files. When you write a program, you should write a makefile for it, so that it is possible to use Make to build and install the program. Capabilities of Make
