QuickCam Pro 9000 inadequate focus problem Yesterday I purchased Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam: I managed to download and install the following version of Logitech webcam software: 12.0.1280.0000. After that webcam works, but image is painfully out of focus. I turned RightLight off, switched webcam settings to manual focus, and tried to find at which distance from camera it will focus properly for various manual focus settings. The results were rather surprising to me. When manual focus was set to "Closeup" like this: I was able to get properly focused image only at about 3 cm from camera: When manual focus was set to "Standard" like this: I was able to get properly focused image at about 15 cm from camera: Everything that is farther than 15 cm from camera stays out of focus (as is clear from the following two photo captures):
