The Queen of Creative Reuse: Bright Ideas for Incandescent Bulbs The incandescent bulbs that shone so merrily in the Queen's palaces all her life and yours, Dear Reader, is going to be phased out by the federal government. They will eventually no longer be allowed to be sold in the United States. People will be looking for creative things to do with all those incandescent lamps (subject of a future Trashy Wench blog, I'm sure) and all the bulbs in those lamps, regardless of whether they are working or burnt out bulbs. The incandescent bulbs come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, all with wonderful curves of all shapes, sort of like the Wench and her wonderful female friends! Hot Air Balloon Decorations Mini Terrariums Plant rooters and vases Micro Oil Lamps Dried or Silk Flower Ornaments Glamorous globes for miniature light strings Bear in mind that working with incandescent bulbs can cause injury; you will want to wear work gloves when handling them, along with eyewear protection, Dear Reader.

Walt Disney World Resort Janus by Micha F. Lindemans Janus is the Roman god of gates and doors (ianua), beginnings and endings, and hence represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. One tradition states that he came from Thessaly and that he was welcomed by Camese in Latium, where they shared a kingdom. His most famous sanctuary was a portal on the Forum Romanum through which the Roman legionaries went to war. Janus was represented with two faces, originally one face was bearded while the other was not (probably a symbol of the sun and the moon). Walt Disney World Moms Panel Search 2011 It’s that time again! In less than a month – September 13th to be exact – the search will again begin for new members of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. Those of you familiar with the blog may remember my journey last year, which I chronicled here (and on twitter) pretty much to the point of making everyone around me nauseous with my pixie-dusted self. My only defense is that I was, in fact, very excited and determined to succeed in my goal of being on the panel and the blog hadn’t really taken off yet at that point, so I had a bit of time on my hands in order to wax poetic on the Moms Panel. A LOT. Now, onto the point of my post. First, the misconceptions - Most people think you have to a) be a mom and b) have kids to be chosen for the panel. Well, why don’t I let the Pink Princess herself, Walt Disney World Moms Panel and Social Media Manager Laura Spencer share some tips for what they are looking for, in her own words: The competition is VERY stiff. Great words of wisdom.
