How to Make Pom Pom Flowers
I have a thing for flowers that look like pom poms. Mums, allium, chive blossoms, dahlias – love ‘em! Since fresh flowers aren’t always in the budget, and because I have a brown thumb, I started thinking about what I could do to brighten up our apartment with flowers without actually using flowers. Soon, the idea for some sort of pom pom flower started bouncing around in my head, and this is what I came up with.

Confetti Invitations
Mar 14 I made this prototype for a couple who needed save-the-dates for a wedding. We ended up doing something else but these turned out so cute I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make them. These little tubes shoot a little burst of confetti when you twist them. The problem is they are usually ugly and the confetti inside them is usually poor quality (like five little sad strands.) So what we did here is strip the label, disassemble the spring mechanism.

Raya is upon us and we thought we'd give you a little "how to" pictorial on making ketupat. It looks a little complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll be weaving ketupat like a pro! Go on and give it a try. Step1: Weave the leaf on your right hand into the one on your left in an alternating fashion. Keep holding on to the leaves as you do this. This step takes the most getting used to; concentrate on getting the hang of it.
