Start Your Day in 33 Different Ways Mornings are underrated. I consider them fundamental for the whole diurnal experience. What you do in the very first moments of your morning will fundamentally and inexorably shape your entire day. Most of the time you spend your mornings by routinely performing some habits, on auto pilot. Hence, your days will routinely unfold towards you, the same way day after day, on auto pilot. Consciously inserting your intentions in these very first moments will have a huge effect. Here are at least 33 ways in which you can transform your days by only spending 5 minutes every morning. 1. I love the morning stillness and the unspoken promise of something ready to start. 2. And do nothing. 3. Point your mind to something you’re really grateful for and stay there. 4. Regardless of the current season. 5. You’re going to spot it pretty easily if you put your mind to it. 6. Write an answer to an old question, do part of a small chore, move an object out of somebody’s way. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. Let go. 12.
Color Rules of Thumb "I just wanted to send you a quick email on behalf of some of the children I volunteer with at the Family Nature Club here in Utah. We've been reviewing some resources on the Internet for our science projects and came across your page and found it extremely helpful! As a thank you, a couple of the kids wanted to send you back another page they found about eco-friendly wall painting that they thought you might want to add to your site because it could help you and your visitors as well They've actually been using it as much as your page to complete their project and thought it would be exciting to see it up on the same page as where they got the information from your site that helped them so much. I even offered Jenny, the student that presented it to me, extra credit if you wanted to help us! Would you be able to consider adding it for them? Top Top

Color Think Tank - the psychology of color Our personal and cultural associations affect our experience of color. Colors are seen as warm or cool mainly because of long-held (and often universal) associations. Yellow, orange and red are associated with the heat of sun and fire; blue, green and violet with the coolness of leaves, sea and the sky. Warm colors seem closer to the viewer than cool colors, but vivid cool colors can overwhelm light and subtle warm colors. Although red, yellow and orange are in general considered high-arousal colors and blue, green and most violets are low-arousal hues, the brilliance, darkness and lightness of a color can alter the psychological message. Colors act upon the body as well as the mind. People will actually gamble more and make riskier bets when seated under a red light as opposed to a blue light. For most people, one of the first decisions of the day concerns color harmony. How often have you caught your breath at the sight of a flowerbed in full bloom? More Color Education Articles:
How To Improve As A Guitarist Music is a part of everyone’s lives. When one thinks of music, one normally thinks of symphonies, pianos, rock bands and quite naturally guitarists. Everyone wants to be the next Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen, but most people do not have the talent or the time to tune up their guitaring talents. As there are no shortcuts to success in business, similarly there are no shortcuts to become a great guitarist. To become better with the guitar needs not only practice but also some skills in various processes like technique, tuning and the likes. Technique: understanding the techniques of the guitar is what truly distinguishes a good guitarist from a great guitarist. Ear training: ear training as important to guitaring as tuning and technique is. Playing the guitar can bring endless pleasure to the guitarist and to the listener. Learn Guitar Lesson Review
The Psychology of Color Reprinted from Vol 5-1 of the BT Journal In wildlife photography, I think the psychology of color plays an overwhelming role in the success of an image to communicate. I've waited a long time to present this piece and I can't think of a better time than with the Journal's first color issue to bring you what I think are critical concepts for success. Advertising-grabbing the attention of the buyer to buy one's product. In a sense that's exactly what we're attempting to do with our photographs. To be successful we should be doing it with color in mind just like Madison Avenue! When I was in college, I took a class that was just about color in advertising. There's an age-old adage that when photographing birds, if you don't have a good background, find something green to put behind them. The Basic Psychology of Color Yellow - is the most visible color and is the first color the human eye notices! Orange - is a good balance between the passionate red and the "yellow of wisdom." top of page

Beveridge mentions being partially influenced by the technique of Tim Wheatley who has also explored the ideas of bicycle-wheel animation. See many more zoetrope videos previously on Colossal.
