Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

Pecan Pie Bars Recipe
We’re less than 24 hours away from the biggest food day of the year, when our stomachs face off against tryptophan and our skinny jeans get the heave-ho in favor of sweatpants. Are you ready? I’m just about to board a plane to head home to San Diego, where my parents have been feverishly at work ironing table runners, writing place cards, and preparing to welcome a dozen family members and friends at our Turkey Day table. The infrared turkey fryer has been fetched from its spot in the garage. There is a whole lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, as it’s been a crazy amazing couple of weeks. Ever since writing the book, I’ve discovered my affinity for food puns has reached that delicate line between hilariously witty and seriously annoying. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and all of your favorite foods!

Sallys Baking Addiction Reese's Peanut Butter White Chocolate Bark. - Sallys Baking Addiction Easy white chocolate bark filled with a creamy peanut butter filling. You know how I feel about peanut butter and chocolate. I mean, chocolate without peanut butter is like a shoe with no laces. Pennies with no faces. Sentenceswithnospaces. Bark is a miraculously lazy way to create a candy bar. Today’s “recipe” happened in about 10 minutes. The white chocolate layers are pretty self explanatory. The slightly salty peanut butter layer keeps the bark from being sickeningly sweet. The topping? I eat peanut butter on my peanut butter. The little candies on top provided a nice crunch to the otherwise soft and creamy bark. Considering how much time this “recipe” did NOT take, one bite of this bark and you’ll wonder how it’s not illegal. Ingredients: Directions: Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper. *If using white chocolate chips, melt with 1 teaspoon shortening so the chocolate is smooth and easy to spread. © Sally’s Baking Addiction. Petite Deep Dish Pecan Pies | Pie Recipes for Thanksgiving I often get asked how I learned so much about so many different areas of the 'domestic arts'. My quick answer has always been watching Martha Stewart, but when I went to get this Pecan Tassie recipe from my mom I realized that I should have given more credit to 4-H! When we younger, my sister, brother and I were members of 4-H. Jill won a Blue Ribbon at the State Fair when she was eleven (I think... She made them in mini muffin pans, but I decided to make them in regular sized muffin tins for a bigger portion - more of an individual serving rather than a bite-size. Petite Deep Dish Pecan Pies12 big mini individual pies For the Dough: 1 cup unsalted butter 6 ounces cream cheese 2 cups all-purpose flour For the Filling: 11⁄2 cups light brown sugar 2 cups pecan halves 2 eggs 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. For the dough, mix together the butter, cream cheese and flour on low until all of the flour is incorporated.

Sallys Baking Addiction Soft Gingersnaps with Butterscotch Chips. - Sallys Baking Addiction Super soft and chewy gingersnap molasses cookies stuffed with butterscotch chips. A holiday favorite! Creamy, buttery, and smooth, butterscotch has been one of my favorite flavors since I was little. Poured over ice cream and overloaded into oatmeal cookies are the best ways to eat it – I can literally never turn down a butterscotch dessert! And today my previous #1 cookie on the blog, Oatmeal Scotchies, is meeting its match. Anyway. I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect gingersnap recipe for ages. My mom’s homemade gingersnap cookies are beyond perfection. These are theeee most perfect, soft and pillowy gingersnaps. The dough is made from your typical cookie dough suspects: butter, brown sugar, baking soda, and flour. Use dark brown sugar in this recipe. We’re getting a double dose of molasses in today’s cookies. I prefer dark molasses over blackstrap molasses- which is the darkest variety. Sometimes gingersnap cookies are made with shortening, sometimes they are made with butter.

Making them is so easy. The chocolate cookie recipe is quite simple and standard. I love those Dark Chocolate Morsels and have been using them left and right in my recent recipes. To make the chocolate cookies, start with some room temperature butter. Of course, putting the butter out on the counter 2 hours ahead of time is foolproof , but sometimes I can’t think ahead! Beat the butter in the mixing bowl with a stand or hand mixer for about 20 seconds on medium speed before adding any sugar. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. I like to sift the dry ingredients together. Once your dry ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add them slowly to the wet ingredients. Now comes the fun part! Ingredients:

Sallys Baking Addiction Chocolate Fudge Cakes for 2. - Sallys Baking Addiction A chocolate fudge cake so rich, it puts all other chocolate desserts to shame. This small batch recipe makes only 2 and is perfect when you don’t need to feed a crowd. Let me begin with: this is a recipe where diets do not belong. I was going to wait until closer to Valentine’s Day to post this fabulously indulgent recipe, but I’m the queen of impatience. Speaking of impatience, I made a chocolate cake recipe that doesn’t require cooling before digging in. This recipe reminds me of a chocolate molten cake. Rather than completely underbaking the cakes, I submerge real chocolate into the centers before they go into the oven. This small batch recipe yields two undeniably fudgy cakes. While the centers are melted chocolate, the outer edges of the cakes taste like a combination of my chocolate cupcakes and homemade brownies. About the ingredients used: I use brown sugar not only to sweeten the cakes, but to provide a little extra flavor and moisture. Step by step photos below the recipe!
