Bomb suit A bomb suit or a blast suit is a heavy suit of body armor designed to withstand the pressure released from a bomb and any projectiles the bomb may produce. It is usually worn by trained personnel attempting bomb disposal . In contrast to ballistic body armors , which usually focus on protecting the torso and head, a bomb suit must protect all parts of the body, since the dangers posed by a bomb's explosion affect the entire body. Make a takedown bow from skis! A takedown bow consists of two limbs that attach to either side of a riser, or handle, by some hardware. The riser needs to have a flat surface for the limbs to attach, a grip for your hand and a carved out shelf for the arrow. Here is the chance to be a creative in your design. The riser doesn’t flex at all when using the bow! As long as the riser satisfies those three things it doesn’t matter what it looks like. If you are need of inspiration just do a quick image search online for takedown risers. Start by sketching your riser on a couple of sheets of graph paper. Note: The angle made by the vertical axis of the riser and the attached limb should be around 15˚-20˚. Next I made a model of the riser out of 2” thick foam. First trace a copy of your riser design so you will still have the original drawing to transfer to wood later. You can test out alterations to things like the handle or curves of the riser on the foam before permanently removing wood.

It's a sunset, yes, but notice the blush of color right above the sun. It's blue. And as you look up, the blue fades into a faint rose or pink. Now think about the sunsets you've seen, how often the sky can turn golden, or orange, sometimes pink, red, but when you look up, away from the setting sun, those colors fade back to a pale, twilight blue? So this photo is a puzzle: it's blue where the red should be and red where the blue should be. Because we're not on Earth. Apparently, Mars has blue sunsets all the time. NASA admits that there's a color filter on Spirit's camera that exaggerates the colors slightly, but they say the blues you see here "are similar to what a human would see" on Mars. So here's our question: Why are Martian sunsets blue? The Air On Mars Is Different From The Air On Earth On Earth, the air is mostly nitrogen and oxygen. Let's stand facing the sun on Mars.
