Strengthening Marriages, One Date At A Time

ASTORIA — я.

Bridesmaid 101 - Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor Planning! A - Z of Folded Cards I've decided to put together a list of different card folding techniques, and then slowly work through the list to produce instructions and examples on how to go about making each card. I've come up with a pretty good list of cards so far, but I need your help in finishing it off. If you can think of other types of folds that aren't mentioned below, please let me know and I'll add them. I'm not looking for techniques, such as embossing or stamping, but actual folds or types of cards. Let's see what we can put together! Guest Blogger: Oh Hello Friend, Jane Austen style wedding | Bits + Pieces, Ceremony & Reception, Guest Blogger I’ve been thinking a lot about the theme of my wedding and the style I want to portray. I am such a big fan of Jane Austen: I love her stories, the era, the style, everything! I asked my fiancee if he’d be willing to wear one of the old regency tailcoats…he said not so much. But whether you are a Jane Austen fan or not, it most certainly makes for lovely inspiration. {dress by Johanna Hehir, eco wedding dress by threadhead} First we start with the fabulous Jane Austen inspired dresses. {dresses by Dolly Dimple, necklace by Muntedkowhai, lace umbrella by Pink Frosting , floral hair comb by Whichgoose} Beautiful laces and trims and fabrics seen in these original and replica regency dresses from the BBC costume set. An old ballroom from the Bath Assembly Room, England. Love these dried flowers as decor. Tomorrow I have a super cute DIY save the date idea. xo, Danni!

Free Digital Stamps TLC Weddings "10 Things Your Groom Will Love (Or At Least Not Hate) About Wedding Planning" Your fiancé probably can't tell the difference between an orchid and a lilac, but if he's like most men, he can tell you all about the body style of a '66 Mustang or the powerful engine in the latest Lamborghini. If he's passionate about cars, let him take charge of arranging wedding day transportation. While he's likely to have fun comparing stretch limos and Hummers, let him go a little wild. Not only does he get to pick the car, he may also get to take it for a test drive. And remember -- if it seems like he's droning on about some of the cars he's looked at, he's probably spent twice as long listening to you talk about wedding dresses!

Beccy's Place At my card club recently we did a shoe box swap where we brought along card kits we had put together for the other members at our table. The idea was to pass the kits around so that everyone made a card from each person at the table, resulting in a nice little stash by the end of the day. I decided to make this double gatefold card using punches, butterflies and patterned papers. Requirements:A4 cardstock base (8 1/4" x 11 3/4")Patterned paper 8" x 3 3/4"Two strips of green patterned paper 8" x 2"Small offcut of white cardstockVine punch (I used a Martha Stewart punch)Lattice border punch (I used a Martha Stewart border punch)Small flower punch (I used an EK success punch)Self adhesive pearls (I used Kaisercraft pearls)Paper butterflies (I used Collections Elements Creative Butterflies)Sentiment stamp (I used Stamping Up Sincere Salutations)Score board and score toolFoam matInk padDouble sided tapeSmall foam dotsWet glue (I used Glossy Accents)Glue pen (I used Zig Squeeze and Roll) 1.

Jak Heath.com: Spellbinders I don’t know about you but my dies and not just the spellbinders ones end up rattling around in a draw and I have to rummage through them to find the one I want, I have some of the smaller ones in an album but the larger ones and the border dies left me with a storage problem. I was contacted by a company which asked if there product was something that I’d like to take a look at, so i popped over to check them out and soon realised that they could have the answer to the die storage problem. So I was thrilled when I realised that it worked. I know it looks like a black A4 a piece of black card but it is in fact an A4 sheet magnet, as you can see you can fit loads on it and better still it has enough pull power to keep them in one place, I even stood the sheet up to make sure they wouldn’t fall of, I then give them the shake test and they still held fast, the reverse side of mine is red but they come in a few different colours so they could be colour co-ordinated to the dies.

Dont Hope Friend....Decide It's Now Or Never Don't Hope Friend....Decide By Michael D. Hargrove While waiting to pick up a friend at the airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life changing experiences that you hear other people talk about, the kind that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. This one occurred a mere two feet away from me. First he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. Then the man stood up, gazed in the eyes of his oldest son (maybe nine or ten) and while cupping his son's face in his hands said, "You're already quite the young man. While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one-and-a-half) was squirming excitedly in her mother's arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. After several moments, he handed his daughter to his oldest son and declared, "I've saved the best for last," and proceeded to give his wife the longest, most passionate kiss I ever remember seeing. "Two whole days!" Two days?

Lavender marshmallows It seemed like a good idea – something delicate, almost ethereal. But it did not turn out as I expected... Have you tried lavender marshmallows? I remember seeing a photo on a magazine, months ago, but there was no recipe – it was an ad from a bakery or something. I decided to use a vanilla marshmallow recipe from DH mag #36 adding the dried lavender instead of vanilla extract. The marshmallow was actually quite good – delicious and fluffy. Lavender marshmallows adapted from Donna Hay magazine 4 tablespoons powdered gelatin 1 cup (240ml) warm water 660g caster sugar 1 1/3 cups glucose syrup 2/3 cup water, extra 3 tablespoons dried edible lavender* 200g confectioners’ sugar, sifted 35g (about 3 tablespoons) corn starch Place the gelatin and warm water in the bowl of an electric mixer, stir well to combine and set aside. Makes 25 - I halved the recipe above, used a 20cm (8in) square pan and got 36 smaller marshmallows
