Leeds RE:U-SEM / LED Architecture Studio The major of the city of Sant’Elpidio a Mare, Giovanni Renzi, with the manifesto of the 15th of September 1903, communicated to his citizens the tender for the construction of the social aqueduct of the Tennacola company. Since then, this work has been in constant evolution and all the structures linked to the aqueduct are still deep-rooted in the territory and they have become symbols of the project by LED Architecture Studio. More images and architects’ description after the break. The hanging water reservoirs are constructions for water accumulation. We ask why we continue to consume agricultural areas and why we want to invade protect areas and deprave their destinations and characteristics which rend them unique from the landscape profile point of view. Thus, the project proposes re-shaping the hanging water reservoirs located in the city of Sant’Elpidio a Mare in an energetic totem, which is able not only to provide water distribution , but also to produce clean energy.
apij Hedgehog Self Build Hedgehog Self Build: Brighton UK The project began in 1996, when a small group of local people without permanent housing became aware of the recently completed Diggers Self Build Project in Brighton, itself an innovative ecological project in Brighton. The four people who initiated the project were all in housing need with little hope of being rehoused by Brighton council, and saw another self build project as a means of enabling them to literally build a future for their children. They used the contacts and structures as put together for the Diggers project to initiate this project with the council - and encountered a positive response. They then spent a good two years building up the group, lobbying councillors and publicising the initiative, and were eventually rewarded with the offer of a beautiful (tho' difficult to develop) site. La norme HQE définit des valeurs de rapport [surface d'échange/volume intérieur] permettant de juger de la performance d'un projet architectural. Exemple de forme compacte de bâtiment : rectangle, grand côté au sud, avec étage. Ainsi une maison à étage est préférable, ceci dit elle est beaucoup plus exposée aux éléments (contreventement maison paille) Exemple de forme à éviter : la maison en L car elle a la même surface de déperdition qu'un rectangle de même taille pour une surface habitable bien moindre. Nous désirons créer un modèle économique basé sur la relocalisation de la production via les fab labs et fabriques de quartiers. La rémunération des designers se fera via un site e-commerce permettant : > Le téléchargement de plans via un micro - paiement, > L'achat des objets entièrement fabriqués, > Le recensement des fabs labs et fabriques de quartier partenaires, > La mise en vente des objets via des circuits de distributions classiques, > La mise en avant des designers. Pour alimenter ce futur site, nous voulons accueillir et accompagner 12 designers en résidence pendant 4 semaines. Par équipe de 3, ils auront pour objectif de concevoir et fabriquer plusieurs gammes d'objets fonctionnels à partir de matériaux récupérés. Votre soutien permettra de rassembler des talents, de leur donner les moyens nécessaires pour les lancer sur le devant de la scène.
