Naturally Flavored Water Say goodbye to soda, juice, and bottled water with these refreshing, healthy flavors! I'm keeping 2-3 flavors of this "spa water" in my fridge now, so I have a variety to motivate me to drink more water. I was a hardcore Dr. Simply water At the end of the day, regular old tap water--or at least a filtered version of it--seems to be the way to go. Lavender Lemonade Yes I know it’s Fall, but the weather is still absolutely gorgeous and lemonade tastes great during any season! There just so happens to be tons of gorgeous lavender growing outside my house and when I came across this recipe on one of my favorite design blogs (while looking for decorating ideas to pin…duh) I knew I just had to make it!Of course I did color the water a bit, just to make it pretty, but you can’t taste the coloring at all (I promise!) and it’s definitely not necessary. I simply mixed 1/4 cup water with one drop of blue coloring with one drop of red and voila! I just LOVE making homemade lemonade the old fashioned way and chose to cut the sugar in half and use raw agave nectar as an additional sweetener. If I do say so myself. Ingredients 2 cups water 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup agave nectar (or honey) 3 Tbsp dried lavender 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice 4 cups water 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish) Instructions Nutritional Information

Julie Biuso's Recipes - Sticky Lemon Slice Method 1 Put the softened butter in the bowl of a food processor and process until whipped, then add the icing sugar and process until light in colour (creamed). Sprinkle the flour over and process until the mixture starts to form a ball. Tip into a non-stick jelly roll pan (32 cm x 21 cm), with the bottom lined with parchment paper, and press flat. If the mixture is sticky, keep your fingers dusted with plain flour. 2 Bake in an oven preheated to 350˚F (regular) for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven. 3 Tip the granulated sugar into the bowl of a food processor and pour in the eggs. 4 Pour the mixture on top of the base (it will fill the tin), then return it to the oven and bake for a further 30-35 minutes, or until golden in colour and firmish to the touch. What Americans don't understand about weight loss - Salon.com - StumbleUpon I decided I had to lose weight on a research trip to Japan for National Geographic. After posing for a picture with a post-tsunami cleanup crew in northeastern Japan, I was immediately given a print of the picture as a keepsake. There I was, smiling broadly, and looking enthusiastic. I was also, to my eyes, enormous. No one in Japan ever told me I was fat. Instead, relatives — my mother is Japanese — would say things to me like, “Wow. “Small to medium,” I said. “Oh. “Yes. My cousin’s comment initially struck me as the kind of naive thing a homebody might say to an inveterate international traveler. The U.S., in case you haven’t heard, is the world’s most obese country, followed by Mexico and the U.K. Over the years, while visiting Japan, I had started to move around my second homeland with a feeling of acute apology. Many times over the years I have Googled “How much should I weigh?” I occasionally mentioned my concerns to girlfriends, who commented on my need to accept myself. Conform?
