I’ve always liked drinking my water with a slice or two of lemon–that extra little touch of flavor just makes water more appealing to me. There are a lot of other ways you can flavor water naturally. You can get really creative with it! Here are some ideas… Add a slice of your favorite citrus to a tall glass of ice water…try lemon, lime, or orange slices. Or combine them…slices of lemon and lime…orange and lime…or try all three together! NOTE: I usually drink my flavored water the same day I make it…I think it tastes best that way. If you’re wanting to make a pitcher of flavored water, you basically just slice or chop up some fresh fruit, cucumbers, or herbs and place in a pitcher, add cold water and chill several hours. 1 large lemon, sliced1 large lime, sliced1 large orange, sliced1 large cucumber, sliced1 half-gallon of water Place all the sliced fruits and the cucumber in a glass pitcher and add water. Put water in pitcher and add lemon slices and cucumber slices.

Lavender Lemonade Yes I know it’s Fall, but the weather is still absolutely gorgeous and lemonade tastes great during any season! There just so happens to be tons of gorgeous lavender growing outside my house and when I came across this recipe on one of my favorite design blogs (while looking for decorating ideas to pin…duh) I knew I just had to make it!Of course I did color the water a bit, just to make it pretty, but you can’t taste the coloring at all (I promise!) and it’s definitely not necessary. Sprinkle the flour over and process until the mixture starts to form a ball. Tip into a non-stick jelly roll pan (32 cm x 21 cm), with the bottom lined with parchment paper, and press flat. If the mixture is sticky, keep your fingers dusted with plain flour. 2 Bake in an oven preheated to 350˚F (regular) for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven. 3 Tip the granulated sugar into the bowl of a food processor and pour in the eggs. 4 Pour the mixture on top of the base (it will fill the tin), then return it to the oven and bake for a further 30-35 minutes, or until golden in colour and firmish to the touch.
