french onion soup I’m firmly of the belief that no matter what ails you in the realm of the kitchen, onion soup can cure it. Never cooked before? Don’t think you’ll be able to pull off the kind of cooking you believe you need to go to a restaurant to experience? Start with onion soup. Have only $5 to spend on dinner? I realize it was unfair to even make a passing reference to weepingly delicious onion soup the other day without refreshing it here. Food - Recipes : Egg fried rice Velveeta Chicken Tortilla Bake Recipe My family loves any type of food that has Mexican inspiration. You’ll often find us dining out at a number of local Mexican restaurants, but when we get a craving and don’t feel like getting out, it’s usually either a taco or nacho night. A couple of nights ago I was staring at VELVEETA®, Ro*Tel® and boneless skinless chicken breast and needed to come up with something that would be easy to make and that would appeal to the children. While I was brainstorming, the idea of a casserole type dish came to mind so I decided to go that route. In the end we had a pretty fabulous Velveeta Chicken Tortilla Bake! Seriously y’all, this was quite tasty. Chicago Style Italian Beef Sandwich We wanted to make many different things for this party but a lot of the ideas fell through. One of the ideas was cheesesteaks but we didn't want Mandi to be on the grill all night. We were watching Man v. Food on the travel channel (have you seen it? Think Diners Drive-ins and Dives minus awful catchphrases, frosted tips, and backwards sunglasses, and plus a fun eating challenge) and they were in Chicago (another plus to MvF, one city at a time.) A nice rump roast. Slice some garlic thick and insert the slices into the meat. The outside is seasoned well with salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. A meat thermometer helps to not dry out the meat. Finishing up the giardiniera. After the roast cooks, there will be deliciousness in the pan below it. Make sure to let this rest for a half hour! Ok start browning some onions in a pan. 10 minutes later add like 10 cloves of garlic minced. Stock, Worchester, and Tabasco. Remove the strings and start slicing! Some of that garlic we hid earlier.

Pierogies Recipe at Epicurious.com Make dough: Put flour in a large shallow bowl and make a well in center. Add water, egg, oil, and salt to well and carefully beat together with a fork without incorporating flour. Continue stirring with a wooden spoon, gradually incorporating flour, until a soft dough forms. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead, dusting with flour as needed to keep dough from sticking, until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes (dough will be very soft). Invert a bowl over dough and let stand at room temperature 1 hour. Make filling while dough stands: Peel potatoes and cut into 1-inch pieces. When mashed potatoes are cool enough to handle, spoon out a rounded teaspoon and lightly roll into a ball between palms of your hands. Make onion topping: Cook onion in butter in a 4- to 5-quart heavy saucepan over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally (stir more frequently toward end of cooking), until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Bring a 6- to 8-quart pot of salted water to a boil.
