My husband and I both have cell phones. And both of us have phone chargers. And that means lots of obnoxious cords.
Salvaged drawers = modular bookcase
I picked up these drawers on Freecycle. They were salvaged from the kitchen of a 1940s house that was demolished. My original plan was to put the drawers on wheels and use them as under-bed storage. Turns out, no two drawers are the same height, which would look janky. So I tried stacking them vertically instead (anchoring them to the wall, of course). You could also hang these drawers as individual shadowboxes.
Knot Tote Tutorial
I guess I figure if I am going to be going on a brief Maternity Leave soon, I might as well leave with a BANG! So I am hitting you up with some awesome tutorials I have had sitting on my backlog pile this week, and a couple next week as well! We started off the week with the Pipe Dreams dress, then moved onto watercolor fabric at The Girl Creative, and now I give you this adorable knot tote which I am in love with! I was playing around with some fabric, trying to figure out the knot shirt which I love so much (I must have watched that YouTube video like 100 times, all to no avail). So after what felt like hours of frustration, crumpled up paper, and ruined fabric, I came up with a much easier way to make this knot tote… This little bag will take you under a half an hour to make, and you will love the results!

I love the idea of using fabric buttons to decorate mundane things. This tutorial is for making fabric button earrings, but you could make fabric button magnets or push pins. I got this idea from this website. After you buy the basic supplies you can make tons of these.

Recycle Tutorial: Braided Rag Rug
My mum threw me 2 bundles of old bed sheets she found during spring cleaning. She knows that I love to recycle and able to make something good out from them. In support of the Earth Hour campaign, I am going to spend the whole March making recycle handmade and will switch off my lights for 1 hour on March 27, 8:30pm.

Just a quick idea today! A very quick idea. :O) Long necklaces have experienced some extreme popularity over the last few years, so we probably all have at least one or two in our jewelry box! For some reason I never wear them, I guess I prefer a shorter length. So I thought of a quick way to alter them!
